Used the monorail on Thursday after visiting the Atlantis hotel and Lost Chambers. It is a novelty really but clean and efficient. It would be better if it was more frequent but anyway it was not at all busy although I can see it might be busy at the weekends. Reasonable one way ticket price. Nice views of the palm... More

Clean and easy to reach but expensive just to see houses and a terrible mall. If going to waterpark, probably less expensive for a family to take taxi.

First time on a monorail so an interesting experience but one which was very expensive (25Dirhams for a round trip) compared to other transport in Dubai. Also very busy with many people having to stand. Some good views of the "fronds" of the palm. Pity the monorail does not form part of the otherwise well connected transport system.

It was expensive. Only had three stations. You have to wait a lot and you have to rent a taxi at the last station, because the last station is beside a highway without a pedestrian way. The only advantage was the nice view of palm.

A smooth ride, although very crowded. I would recommend sitting on the left hand side of the monorail as it goes towards the end of the palm as you get a great photo of the Aquaventure hotel. A nice way to get to Aquaventure and you can also then avoid traffic.

The monorail is good for one thing: seeing the development of the Palm Jumeirah and how the buildings extend around the centre. These are harder to see from the street level. Other than that, it's quite "meh". The train is expensive, it isn't that fast and it stops on future stops without opening its doors (there's some moaning on their... More

Taking the monorail was an amusing, but not a great, experience. Firstly, we took the new tram there. From the tram, there is an endless walk through a parking garage. Then another very long walk through a non-air conditioned walkway. Then you pay Dh. 25 (US$6.75) for a round trip ticket. The journey lasts 8-10 minutes, not much to see. Worst... More

if you want visit atlantis by metro(the cheapest and maybe the fastest way) you must stop at dubai internet city metro station and then take a taxi for palm jumeirah monorail station (less than 5 minutes from metro). From here you can buy round-trip or one-way tickets. The distance is really short so trains come in about 20-25 minutes. The train offers stunning... Metro comfortable. The journey is quiet and you can enjoy seeing some landscapes, including the entrance of Atlantis.

Connected from the metro via the Tram to the Monorail and it was a nice way to see the whole of the Palm. Didn't like the fact though that there was a long walk through a car park to get from the tram to the Monorail station so didn't use it on the way back and just got a taxi... More
