My friend had recommended this place to me after we did the Burj Khalifa and we booked a table for drinks. We arrived early but there was no issue, we got a great little table outside. I had a yummy cocktail and the presentation was fab! It's happy hour here between 5 and 8pm so we caught about an hour... More

Lounge Music was nice, i tried latino and ginger moctails, great taste although too much ice. Corn fritters and empanadas were delicious. Staff was very nice and helpful: suggested a table outside after 30 mins of sitting insiders

Amazing view, excellent service, good cost benefit, beautiful people. The only think that would add value is having a place to after the bar for clubbing. Fully recommend.

we visit calabar on a regular basis whilst we are in dubai. Both the interior and exterior of the bar are stunning-it probably has one of the best views in dubai looking directly at the burj khalifa and giving a good view of the fountains the service at calabar is exceptional-we were looked after by Vasant who is one of the... This is one of the iconic bars in Dubai, especially at this time of year. Indoor area and outdoor area. Outdoors puts you in expansive and casual chic bar and restaurant, at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, which from any angle is one of the world's most spectacular towers, but from Calabar, at night, is truly sensational. The food... More

Great place to go for an after-work drink (especially during Happy Hour). Great atmosphere and a chance to see fellow expats or other passers by. At this time of year, sitting outside on the terrace is devine.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
