I really liked the fountains and we also were very lucky to arrive early, because there's always a lot of people there to see it. It was such a beautiful combination of water show and music, so we were kinda sad that it lasted so little time.

Yes its just fountains but the music, the setting, the sounds and the height that they go to makes the whole experience very memorable and you will get some fantastic photos. It gets very busy around peak times of the evening. I would also advise going in the daylight as its a completely different experience. Definitely worth a visit

What a lovely fountain and as it rises every half hour it is easy to get a couple ov views. We had a meal on the balcony of a Resturant overlooking the fountain and enjoyed the experience

Dubai fountains are much bigger than the one in Bellagio Vegas, and this has an amazing view from down as well as from the top of burj khalifa.

This is a really great thing to see. It runs every 30 minutes and each show is different. Very clever the way they match the music to the fountain sequence.

No visit to Dubai is complete without a visit to the fountains while a show is on. I visited when Whitney Houston's song was playing while the fountains danced. It was lovely...now if only everyone would stop recording and put their phones down and enjoy the moment.

definitely a must see during the stay in dubai! amazing what can be created with such simple things! the only down thing is the fact that the area gets really crowded, so very difficult to get out. the show runs every 30 minutes (I think) so plenty of opportunities to see in one evening!

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
