My friends and I were enjoying free time and gelato at the Dubai Mall after our thrilling ride to "At the Top" of the Burj Khalifa. We had read about the Dubai Fountains prior to our trip but did not make the location connection until we saw directional signs inside the mall. When I think that we nearly missed it,... More

It gets very busy - be warned, but it is free and it is worth seeing as the fountains dance and sway to the music below the Burj Khalifa. Get there ahead of time to get a good spot on the bridge or at a window table of one of the restaurants!

Excellent and free entertainment. We saw them from the top of the Burj Khalifa and from the ground several times, night and day shows. Every show is different and most are spectacular. Excellent attraction.

From reading reviews, I had expected a beautiful, spectacular, amazing fountain show. I expected a wonderfully romantic experience. In reality, the fountain was neat, but not as spectacular as I had expected. I didn't think the show was really long enough... it left me wanting more, and I considered waiting for the next one too, but we were pretty exhausted.... More

Seeing the fountain was not in my agenda of Dubai musts at all . Thankfully we landed at a friends place which was on the 41st floor near Burj khalifa from where the fountain was very clearly visible . If was awesomely mesmerizing from that far away so anyone near would have definitely experienced better. Not to miss on Dubai... More

Having read so many awesome reviews, we were quite excited to see Dubai Fountain, but it was an underwhelming experience. It's over before you settle in. From what we heard later, a lot of is dependent on the song being played at that time, but ours was mediocre experience.

I have travelled a number of times to Dubai, and I always end up liking to walk around the fountains. It's a great locations, especially if you are looking for some GREAT photos shots of the Khalifa tower. Plus, it's like a 2 min walk to the mall of the Emirates. another 5 min away, is the Gold Souk. It's... More

No words. Absolutely no words can define the experience that are Dubai Fountains. Definitely the best 15 minute performance of my entire lifetime. It's beautiful and divine enough to bring tears to your eyes. My definition of a perfect moment spend with a loved one. I could not get away after watching it for the first time. Completely froze myself.... More

We visited the Dubai Mall during the day and the fountains were still very good to watch, although at night they have a different feel because of the lighting. If you visit the Dubai Mall then they are a must to see.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
