Huge aquarium in the Dubai shopping mall. You can gaze in awe for free at the outside of the main tank which is fab, or pay to walk through the tunnel that goes through it and then visit the underwater zoo. I definitely recommend the latter. They have a large number of sharks, stingrays and other fish of many shapes... More

The aquarium is very large and contains a lot of interesting fishes from all sizes. But it is very crowded.

There is too much hype for this venue. This is small venue with big queues. You can go one time but you are unable to go due to time constraints, you are not going to miss anything magical. Low as per dubai standards

It was a wonderful experience. Not only the kids but we grown ups enjoyed and learned about the water creatures. My kids were really facinated by the water world and the under water zoo. We plan to visit again soon.

My wife and I have been to the Dubai Mall too many times to count. We've passed by the aquarium as many times. We thought the large main tank with the tunnel was pretty much all the aquarium had to offer. We were wrong! The aquarium is hiding a whole collection of different fishes and sea life behind their walls... More

The place is interesting, well maintened with helpful personnel. The kids of all ages will enjoy this journey, but also interesting for adults. The boat trip is very short, as expeted, but pleasant. We liked the most the penguins and the crocodile.

Found this a very interesting place but the better pictures/views are actually from the Mall. I did find that the admission price is slightly overpriced but overall it is not to be missed and makes a change from shopping/

I did enjoy my visit to this wonderful aquarium and underwater zoo. I felt like a child seeing all the underwater creatures and admiring the nature! By the way, do not spend your money on boat trip though. It was just a 10-minute tour on a boat on top of the aquarium inside the building. No fun at all.

I really liked the Aqurium which is based in the Dubai Mall although a bit on the pricy side for a family. You can also see the many fish in the Aquarium free of charge by going to the balconies on the upper floors where the crowds are fewer and you can take pictures. The underwater zoo is nice and... Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
