We went to this mall with family and other friends and family. The magic show was there and children enjoyed it very much.. Though it is a small mall compared to other malls in Dubai, it is very different...Overall the time spent there was worth remembering..

We actually visited a zoo close to this mall. Once the zoo trip was over we remembered passing this mall so walked to it. Its been built in a very nice venetian type of way which makes it very charming. Compared to the other Dubai malls this one is very quite although many of the high street stores from around... More

Compared to the other larger malls in Dubai, unless you have a specific store in mind I would skip this mall. Its not got all that you would suggest, and even going their with some lady friends of mine it still did not have a plethora of choice. There is a cinema and a food court either end which are... I called in on Monday 11/05/15 while sightseeing on the bus around Dubai, the bus stop is opposite Merato Shopping Mall. On entering the Mall it looks quite impressive with large spacious areas with a couple of levels, walked around mostly just window shopping and calling into a few businesses, I did notice the items I asked about appeared more... Swift Parking, pleasing interiors, big brand .. what more needed? All that packed in a nice little architectural mall - Mercato. For me the biggest bonus was Virgin Megastore, spent more than an hour of real good time surfing the books :). Waiting to be there again.

After a gruelling shopping expedition, otherwise known as "The Dubai Mall experience", Mercato Mall is a welcome change. I love this mall, and here are the main reasons why- 1. Classically beautiful. Italian Renaissance in inspiration, it is the most beautiful theme mall I haver seen. There is a small fountain at the entrance and the facade is painstakingly European... More

Well, it's not so little to begin with. And it reminds you of Europe. Very Roman architecture and layout. The place has limited shopping options, but you have a great time as there is plenty of light. So, you get a feeling of being outdoors, and still have the comfort of the airconditioning, that offsets the merciless desert heat. One... More

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighborhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
