The Makkah Gate, is one of the oldest structures in Saudi Arabia, and has been preserved carefully, probably because of its connection with the Holy City. It provides an interesting subject for photography, especially given the fact that it is at the edge of the bustling Balad market, and still acts, in a way, as a gate for this area.The... More

Since known times, a place from where people would go & come from Makkah after leaving ships for UMRA/ Haj or trade tour. Used to be and still a business hub. Crowded always. It's really beautiful to see and enjoy this historical place

It's a taxi and bus stop from where taxis can be hired for holy city of Makkah mukarramah . It has old city and old whole sale shops nearby.

You get to see it as you enter Makkah on your way for Umrah or Hajj. It looks nice but it's not an attraction. Keep driving.

The bab-makkah is the standard disembarking point of cars that come to Jeddah from Makkah and other northerly cities. There is also a very busy meat market down one... More

A spot which is very crowded and full of shopping options. It is located in the old part of the city. It worth going at least once per visit.

This is really the heart of Jeddah old town. Crowded area with a lot of stores and old malls and tall towers. A lot of governmental authorities are there too.
