Jeddah heritage place. renowned place for shopping. especially friday after 4pm. crowded by many nationalities. almost all brand shops< tasty restaurants, jewelry shops etc. nice mosque available here.

Shoppers heaven... In balad you could get all the items much cheaper than any other place in the city. beware of the duplications....

You have to see this part of Jeddah while it still exists. In spite of it being named a World Heritage site, Saudi Arabia has a terrible record of historic preservation. Many old buildings there are just falling down. Try to go with someone who knows their way around all the alleyways and backstreets. It is like a trip back... More

if you need any shopping experience try balad you will find from high end shopping to average pocket.there are pelty of shopping malls like corniche centre,al ghazzaz,for food you have nice Indonesian fast food restaurant,the nazigoreng is out standing there few Indian restaurants holidays is the best the cauliflower curry is mouth watering but evening time is heavy traffic on... More

Balad area a number one tour area for visitors and tourest in jeddah most building more than300years old you will experience how Jeddah old citizens lived near by as one family's surrounde by Jeddah gates and local restaurants and shops

The time with you even good night that you have spent four hours in the downtown and you want to go you would forget about parking tickets that's why you have to make sure that you bought and paid for the parking by the way it's almost $.80 per hour The downtown is very enjoyable the best time to go... This Balad Area of old Jeddah is a must if you really want to relax and get away from the bumper-to-bumper Jeddah traffic. It is a great walking self tour and don't forget your camera!!
