It's a very congested place if you stay there, but overall good for bus sinuses and shopping. Corniche is amazing, bus station is very near. Limited option for foods

Unesco world heritage site, this place is one of the few interesting places in Jeddah. Where you can see life and not only cars, architecture that has been built with the sense and the features of the country's soul. Of course now it's too damaged, but I wish there will be good investment on it in order to make it... More

It was very pleased by my family wife and young children to be there to recall our old traditional style for Holly month of Ramadan to enjoy the type of all food and drinks as well which really was very tasty and fresh. So I recommend every body to go there and visit this area during Ramadan night time and... More

Nice place to have a walk through at night where you can see all the old coral houses and markets. Seeing camel meet being sold was quite interesting too. Just very difficult to find a taxi and when you do they will rip you off.

Please plan your visit to this area around prayer times. For a drive around the old city areas, Friday morning is ideal as there is no traffic. Any other time can be chaotic. There is a large souq in Balad but is not very exciting, there is typical clothing and jewellery shops with not a lot of variety or culturally... More
