If you love shopping, then you will love this souk. It is at the foot of the Citadel in the heart of old Aleppo and is miles and miles of labrynthine passages. Don't get me wrong it is interesting but it isn't the best. There doesn't seem the right mix of touristy and local produce. You might think this a bizarre comment but there are only so many camel hair hats, buttons, tassles and sheeps's intestines you can get in your over night bag.
