Never go there. Especially women. It is a horrid place where animals are tortured and abused. The place is grimy, the animals underfed, there is little information provided, and no alternate avenues for entrainment. Also traffic around the zoo is terrible, loud and smoggy .

Its a fine place to go with kids ! A lot of animals but most look tired. The zoo is most of the times over crowded on the weekends and holidays.

Although you expect such a busy public place should be well maintained neat and tidy with abundant public facilities like toilets and places to sit and relax bu this is not exactly the case here. However the place is reasonably ok and a little effort would further improve it.

Karachi zoo is an amazing place to visit. The elephant house was surprisingly having two elephants which I rode on. The natural history museum was full of famous attractions which I enjoyed observing. I was also amazed and excited to see white lions in the zoo which are reportedly very rare.

I enjoy zoos and museums when I travel. I had been to the Karachi Zoo back in 1985 so was excited to return. The animals are a good mix of regional animals that truly represents exotic beautiful tigers and cats which are my favorite. This is a place I highly recommend you visit while in Karachi.

Just as it goes with all the government owned properties and attractions, the zoo was not that bad. Well laid, well planned, and had a good collection of animals. My children had a good time there, was worth a visit. I refered several of my cousins after that, and they all went there and liked it.

In the year 2011 the administration of Karachi Zoo developed it a lot. They developed lush green parks and also add some expensive animals in Karachi Zoo like as White Lion, Bengal Tiger, Puma, Miniature Horse, different birds and pythons etc. etc. There is a unique character of Mumtaz begum whose lower portion is of fox and upper portion is... I recently visited our city Zoo, and like the city itself the Zoo is falling apart, although all was not that bad, the Karachi Zoo does hold two magnificent White Lions, but the enclosures are so out dated with rusty, dingy cages that you feel bad for the animals being kept their.

I visited the Karachi Zoo after a gap of almost 25 years sometime back. It was to see the much hyped white lion. Going back to the place was a step back into my childhood. I expected the place to be extremely rundown but found it to be better than i expected. The animal population is a bit low and... More
