I've been visiting it since I was a child. Being native to Lahore, I admire how beautiful it looks to be around Menar-e-Pakistan (tower of Pakistan) The govt has recently done some work on the vicinity and I heard it's gone even better. I gotta pay a visit soon again.

I absolutely love the fort in Lahore. It's a really beautiful design and is massive so there's loads to look around. Pakistan is (in my opinion) full of beautiful hidden gems like this.

A very good tourist attraction for people visiting Lahore. The fountain system along with all the other thing is a master piece of engineering.

Where has Pakistan been hiding this magnificent garden? It's world class, up there with the Alhambra and Boboli. Gardening fans from across the world should make a beeline for this jewel of a garden.

This is another of the Muhgal era classics. Vast gardens, great architecture, beautiful lawns and fountains. Unfortunately it is not being well maintained and needs immediate attention of the people who are supposed to maintain it. There is a need for a guided tour, displays of the history of the place and a souvenir shop.

Well first of all these are two separate places, few kilometers away from each other. Fort is a majestic place. Something truly amazing, walking through the corridors thinking King may have walked here. I visited the Lahore fort a long time ago but memories are still fresh. I will take my kids some day.

The shalimar garden in itself would be a beautiful place to visit but its been neglected so badly that ots splendour has vanished. I would still say go for it because even with neglect the surrounding is a testemony to its granduer during the mughal empire.

The Shalamar Gardens could be a wonderful attraction in Lahore unfortunately whoever is looking after their upkeep is doing the gardens a disservice. Just like the Lahore fort the gardens look totally unloved. Having seen the beautiful gardens around Lahore I can't understand why the same care and attention can't be given to these tourist attractions. Please put the gardens... More
