A good walk and good souvenirs

Nice old town. The sellers of stores are slightly too talkative but altogether, they are pleasant and courteous.

What a stunning collection of mosaics and artefacts here. Air conditioned so pleasant relief from the sun, and with totally stunning views looking down and across the city. Small charge for camera and entrance fee, well worth a visit.

Yes this is a great place to shop but you must remember where you are, this is not Europe but North Africa. You will only get a true bargain if you are willing to haggle/barter the price down, which can take time and effort. You can walk around this area and in my opinion very safely - just ignore all... I love the Kasbah or the Medina as we called it. I have visited alone on at least 8 occasions and survived with some fabulous authentic Berber clothing and sandals added to my extensive wardrobe purchased for an absolute song! On my first visit I did manage to be convinced that I had haggled myself a really good bargain only... More

Lovely freshly squeezed watermelon and other juice in a tall glass. Great surroundings, lots of things to look at.

You have to climb right up to the top of the town, but from the walls you have an excellent view over the whole town. There is also a museum with some excellent mosaics

Sousse Kasbah is in the south west corner of the medina. It was built in the 11th C and today houses the brilliant Archaeological Museum. There are some stunning mosaics from nearby Roman ruins on display. Entry is 9 Dinar and 1 dinar extra to take photographs. Access if from outside the city walls. There is a huge internal courtyard... More

The building is very mysterious and beautiful at the same time. The top view of the whole surrounding is amazing. We were there with local friends so there was no issue with people trying to sell us things and so on. But in case you do meet anyone trying to sell things to you and you're not interested, just walk... More
