It's impossible not to drive along the Mediterranean Sea on the corniche. Beautiful. There are many cafe's and restaurants, street vendors of course.

I like the view & had so much time walking along the Corniche. The issue is that trash is in everywhere which makes the view horrible. instead of enjoying the view, I see a mix of beautiful & ugly place!!

many crumbling mansions retain a glamour from last century, one you can read about in lawrence durrell's alexandria quartet novels. creaking open cage lifts, beautiful period features, dusty cafes, aged matrons. but the traffic is terrible, property developers keep gnawing away at what remains and there are as many uncertainties over the corniche as the rest of the country.

Been walking the Corniche for many years. Lots of cars and people in the summer months; less people walking in the winter. I usually walk from Sporting to San Stefano and sometimes further. It takes around one and a half hours. Please REMEMBER that you shouldn't EVER cross the Corniche at any given time, period. There are underground passages to get... More

Walking along you cannot help but wish someone would see the place for what it is and give it a good clean up. Smooth the pavement and tell all the cafes to get their houses in order. A great walk is ruined by never ending car horns and Litter.

Best time to walk along the Corniche is end of the afternoon, with a rain storm coming in from the sea. Half close your eyes and you can see Melissa's protector shuffling , looking for his lost key

The Corniche is simply a modern paved 20 kilometers 6 lanes road by the Mediterranean seashore with beaches and wide sidewalks with nice seats, restaurants, and coffee shops. This huge road is enjoyable for walking and driving from from Montaza to Qaitbey Castle. On the other side of this fantastic road there are lot of nice hotels and residential buildings.

To have been driven down the corniche as often as I have now and lived is to me a miracle. The traffic is mayhem, 6 lanes across but 12 cars across. Pedestrians take the underpass! The Corniche itself is fabulous with old and new buildings, small and large restaurants and cafes and of course the Med in the background. A... More
