It was almost ten years since my last visit to Alex. I was really missing walking in the corniche. The corniche was clean and not so crowded. I can buy ice cream from gleem. The people was not organised.

From the Fort to the Palestine Hotel, I highly recommend to spend time along the Corniche, especially around the old Alexandria city. A lot of nice buildings and architecture. It can be extremely busy and noisy so I would recommend to arrange a visit early morning. Hire a car with a driver.

very good for a walk of any distance with changing features as you walk. Many seaside or roadside cafeterias to sit and enjoy the sea. sometimes crowded. best time for the walk is in the evening

I have had the best walks on this corniche, it is amazing all year long, amazing weather except in January and most of February, it is too cold for walks sometimes. BTW Corniche means beach road. You can also cycle here and many many marathons, specially Friday, both cycling and marathons. It goes from Ras el Tin to Al montazah... More

Amazing blue water of the mederterainan sea. Amazing place just to sit in a cafe and watch the locals pass by. Many historical site to visit and you can walk for hours through the streets seeing new things at each turn.

Before leaving the hotel for a flight back home , had about two hours free in the evening and decided to walk on the corniche. Very busy as it was a Friday evening and very popular with the locals. Place can be kept a bit more clean as the view of the Med is superb. Enjoyable.

There will be some guys who ask you into their cafe, but over all not too much like a gauntlet. Walking the med was nice. There are stairs to cross under! We found this out after crossing the street 6 times and realizing we were the only ones doing that.

Good for walking, excellent views and good weather. However, very crowded and very noisy because of the cars. I would recommend to go walking early morning before the crowd.
