It is a historical place to see from outside as it is closed for visitors. The location at Montaza garden near five stars hotel, you can book few days in the hotel and enjoy the sandy beach and the green surrounding.

When I was young I could still enter the palace for a fee. Today it is closed for public and that is a petty. It is an amazing palace from inside with Bathrooms having three tabs; one for cold water, one for warm and one for seawater! The gardens around are wonderful and definitely a place to relax from the... More

we went for a picnic to Al Montazah. The place is very beautiful and so green. Normally in Egypt you don't find so many green areas, its basically desert or modern cities. Al Montazah was so beautiful, you have the sea, sunny, windy, green areas makes a beautiful day. We didn't want to spend a lot of money for food,... More

We had taken a picnic lunch - and lots of water because it was 30 degrees in October - and found a quiet spot to sit down and eat. After we finished eating we walked towards the beach. There is a path that leads to the lighthouse, but unfortunately that path was closed so I didn't get to go to... More

The palace is now more attracted by the visitors for the sea surrounded by it. Very beautiful view of the beach and the sea.

I've seen many wonderful buildings in Alexandria, but this one stands out a mile. The history behind this building is worth a Google search if you have the time. My only wish is that tourists could take a peek inside. I have been told that many years ago it was open to the public. Try and visit when it's sunset.

Seems like a love hate relationship. This historical site is probably hated for what it once stood for, but now loved for it's beauty and grandeur. Can't go beyond the gates, but the grounds and the building are magnificient. One of the many interesting features of Alexandria.
