This is not a cave in the mountains little church. The monastery is an all-out, spectacular site. You have to turn off the main road, but it is worth the while.

They speak very good english and will tell you of all the trials and tribulations they have been through the ages. The visit was great... More

Half way between cairo and alex, it is a must see. Be sure to buy the olives there as well. Visit the Pope's burial place behind the main church.
