Very friendly people and great view. You enter a very different and calm world? Lots of stairs but it's all worth it.

nice view on the top of the roof, on minaret, the biggest mosque in Romania, special atmosphere in the summer sunset, with the old part of the city and the sea coast

It is not for the faint of heart to go up so many stairs! It is very narrow, one person at a time, but then the view is the prize!

Attempted a visit on our short stay here in Constanta. Couldn't find a way in?? Is Monday the day of closing in Constanta? Suspect it's no different to any oter day as most of the area around the mosque covered in dust, roadworks & pneumatic drilling

Although entry is very cheap, there is not much to see here. You can see where prayers are taken each day and climb to the top of the mosque, that's it, we were in and out in 5 mins, a bit boring to be honest, so don't go out of your way to visit

Low entry fee. The steep and narrow stairs to the top, but it's worth go and look at the city and the sea from the top. Very nice view.

There are two old mosques; one looks somewhat like a compound it is near the center of the old center of town. It is called the Carol I mosque and was built around 1910. It was the first building in Romania made out of steel reinforced concrete. In my opinion, it is interesting and quite ugly. There is a panoramic... More

Built in 1910 by King Carol I, the mosque is the seat of the Mufti, the spiritual leader of the 55,000 Muslims (Turks and Tatars by origin) who live along the coast of the Dobrogea region. The building combines Byzantine and Romanian architectural elements, making it one of the most distinctive mosques in the area. The centerpiece of the interior... More

The Mosque is also known as the Carol Museum, to honor the name of the king Carol I that gave the osque as a gift to the Muslim community. The impressive carpet comes from an island that sadly no longer exists, Ada Kaleh, sunk after the construction of the Iron Gates that used to be renowned for its rose oil.... More

In a sunny day it offers a wonderful view of the sea and the town.Note, there's no elevator so you have to climb on some narrow spiral stairs.
