The City Hall of Brasov is the heart of the council square and also the heart of Brasov. It represents the main symbol of this city. It is also a great history museum you can visit any day. I really enjoyed the time spent there.

The Brasov city hall is an attractive building in Council Square. We did not visit the museum but what we could see of the interior was nice. It has obviously been kept in good condition.

You wont find many places in eruope with such a relaxing ambience amidst an old town. Be it the sunset time, especially in the winter, when i travelled, you will have very few visitors around, and you could just sit and relax and enjoy the old town atmosphere around.

Built in the 13th century and used during the Middle Ages as a watchtower for warning the citadel inhabitants of approaching danger. Today it houses a museum and tourist info,

There is always something happening: a festival, a tango dancing evening, a concert, an exhibition....or just a walk around to feel a vibrant city. There is a little place where you can rent a bike from and continue your exploring at a faster pace.

I liked the center of Brasov. I spent only a night in the town, the fog and with some rain, but it was nice. With the fog, we decided not to visit the Bran Castle, but I hope to visit it soon.

A visit to the City Hall is probably too short, a quick look at this beautiful building located in the center of the main city's square, called Piata Sfatului. Perhaps the main attraction is the square itself, very suggestive, also at the side of the building there is a small museum. However around the City Hall is the meeting point... More
