Having lived in Slovakia for 4 years now I am no stranger to post-communist museum staff, but this was the worst I've ever experienced. Near the end of the exhibition I took one photo (not realising that I needed to pay 25 lei, almost 4 times the admission price, to take photos) and was told off by a staff member... More

Nothing special the building, but once you are around, you are not going to close your eyes, right? Do not go there just because this building.

Its a beautiful building in the center of town, very pleasant to relax around the fountain and the nearby outdoor cafes. I chose to go in the museum to further my quest for uncovering local history. In this, I was not disappointed. The museum is well organized and maintained. Also, be sure to ask the museum staff to open up... More

Very nice building. What makes it special is the beauty around it with the flowers displays, entertaining performances and the festivity in the place. Really lovely.

The Old City Hall of Brasov is now a museum with various permanent and temporary exhibitions. The building is nicely maintained.

Brasov's City hall is a nice, Germanic Style City Hall on Council Square. It is worthwhile visiting if you are staying in old town Brasov.

I actually like seeing the pigeons take over the central plaza, so maybe it's just me. There are little shops, eateries and benches around so you can take a breather between walking to churches. The tourism bureau is here, too, if I remember correctly. After the super busy town centers of other places in Europe, it's nice to be able... More

The city hall is located in the center of the Brasov, where you could find a lot of people going around, a lot of restaurant and very nice building. Also you may find some historical information about Brasov; revolution depends on when you will visit. Beside you is the black church. In the week end they are making a big... More

this is actually the former city hall. Now it works more like a museum and a place to learn about Brasovs history. It's opened every day so you can visit it. It has a functioning clock and the bells are being pulled everyday at noon and at midnight. Somethimes, i dont know the exact time, some people wearing the old... More

Well worth the 7 lei. The exhibits were well laid out and informative. Even though only about halve had English translations put on as an afterthought. Great pictures and exhibits of how the guilds were such a big part of establishing the middle class in Transylvania. Made me come back and research Transylvania and Romanian history.
