Brasov is a lovely city with its people. I spent my life here for 2 months. And this city hall has always made me fall in love with this city. Spending your time in this ciity center is something I would love to. You can just sit, having a chit chat with your friends. Then, you will get perfect view... More

This building is one of the most known landmarks in Brasov and it is used on a lot of postcards with the city. Initially a watch tower built in the early years of the 15th century, it became a city hall, until 19th century. Now hosts the county's History Museum (you need to pay an extra ticket if you want... Interesting building, in the middle of the square. I was here in the winter of 2014, lovely in the evening.

We visited the history museum on our last day as it had not been open when we checked before. The museum is not laid out in chronological order or with any sense and there are really very few English information panels. Some of the items are very interesting and historic but you need to have prior knowledge of the items... More

From suggestions I got, I did not enter The City Hall. I was told that the best of it is what you see from outside.

Lovely City Hall by the Council Square. Nice to walk past and enter the council square and restaurant/bar areas.

Having lived in Slovakia for 4 years now I am no stranger to post-communist museum staff, but this was the worst I've ever experienced. Near the end of the exhibition I took one photo (not realising that I needed to pay 25 lei, almost 4 times the admission price, to take photos) and was told off by a staff member... More

Nothing special the building, but once you are around, you are not going to close your eyes, right? Do not go there just because this building.

Its a beautiful building in the center of town, very pleasant to relax around the fountain and the nearby outdoor cafes. I chose to go in the museum to further my quest for uncovering local history. In this, I was not disappointed. The museum is well organized and maintained. Also, be sure to ask the museum staff to open up... More

Very nice building. What makes it special is the beauty around it with the flowers displays, entertaining performances and the festivity in the place. Really lovely.
