We have installed easy to read informational plaques and a media room for our visitors. We are currently restoring the park, as well as renovating all the facilities. We are also preparing additional cultural events and entertainment for our visitors.Following the Castle’s change of ownership, director Narcis Ion remained with the Ministry of Culture, but has continued to be our valued advisor. We have welcomed a new group of managing directors: Lia Doru Trandafir, Corin Trandafir, and Alexandru Priscu. We are happy to receive every guest that comes to visit us.Welcome to our castle, our home.Sincerely,Dominic HabsburgMaria-Magdalena HolzhausenElisabeth Sandhofer « less

I was there on 11.10.2014, there was a small tail at the ticket office. It takes an hour to look at the whole castle. There is a lake in the garden. The castle itself is very ascetic, there is no luxury or rich interior, there is not very much infromation inside for the items and the rooms. There is an audio... More

As everyone says, doesn't really have anything to do with Dracula other than were Stoker picked to put his story. The castle itself is set in a majestic setting overlooking both Transylvania and Wallachia. The grounds contain some beautiful ponds and an old tea house for the queen who used to live there. The castle itself is slightly humble but... More

Not much of a castle. Not very old, large, or interesting so I don't understand why it gets the hype. It was not worth leaving Brasov for.

Locals refer to it as the fake Dracula Castle. It is the base for Bram Stokers Dracula story and a magnificent building. The interior is beautiful and stocked full of artifacts. Visit early as it gets overrun with tourists very quickly. Well worth the visit, but be warned it is on top of a steep hill and you need to... More

Bran Castle is a good castle to visit but don't expect Dracula here. The grounds and views are great as is the self guided tour through many rooms. Furnishings and history of occupancy are explained in fact, not fiction.

Not a particularly interesting or beautiful castle - have seen much more interesting castles in Slovenia and France. Completely overrun with tourists and tour groups even on a drizzly day in late Septmber.

A must place. You will go there like everyone passing this area. Famous and a piece of history not all people know or understand.

A nice place to spend some time. The scene around the castle is relaxing. Though, you need a good heart and knees to climb the road up the castle, it's worth it. Enjoy the small rooms and curved corridors that make you feel you walk in a real maze. Nice warrior shields and wooden furniture that they kept clean and... More
