We have installed easy to read informational plaques and a media room for our visitors. We are currently restoring the park, as well as renovating all the facilities. We are also preparing additional cultural events and entertainment for our visitors.Following the Castle’s change of ownership, director Narcis Ion remained with the Ministry of Culture, but has continued to be our valued advisor. We have welcomed a new group of managing directors: Lia Doru Trandafir, Corin Trandafir, and Alexandru Priscu. We are happy to receive every guest that comes to visit us.Welcome to our castle, our home.Sincerely,Dominic HabsburgMaria-Magdalena HolzhausenElisabeth Sandhofer « less

Make sure to wear your walking shoes as you will be going uphill and walking up a lot of steps to get to the castle. Our tour guide was very entertaining, and the history and surroundings were lovely. There was an awesome group of singers from the US putting on a show in the courtyard while we were there. Now... we traveled for almost one hour from Brasov to see the Bran Castle, and we found it finally but we were a bit disappointed, we expected it to be more impressive. but sure it is still a place that you have to visit after all its Dracula Castle, nothing really special inside its rooms, but the special thing is the... We recently visited this castle and enjoyed our trip. The surrounding area at the bottom of the castle is as you would expect and full of Dracula souvenirs. The castle is very impressive and with lots of rooms to explore. Lots of artefacts and interesting pictures and fats to read. Its not as impressive as other castles in Transylvania but... More

The legend of Dracula brings tourists to Bran Castle by the busload. But it's an impressive building even without all the Dracula hype. Perched high on a hill above the town, it was built by the Saxons in the 14th century, and was the favorite home of Romanian Queen Marie 100 years ago. Despite its foreboding exterior, the castle is... More

Beautiful castle! 7 lei and 40 min with bus from Brasov. We were early and among the first to go in. Inside is very well kept and you walk between rooms and levels almost like in a labyrinth. It has a wonderful courtyard and many different terrace facing both the interior and the surrounding. There are short info signs in... More

It's an extraordinary place, an interesting example of medieval architecture. You ought to see it even if you're not a Dracula fan (the assotiation between the castle and Dracula is not that clear).

A mystical place located near Brasov, Romania. You can visited te castle, its internal courtyard and a local museum that is located nearby. There are also a lot of local atractions nearby (traditional restaurants, shops, a "haunted" house). Problem is it's a little bit crowded.

A bit touristic and too much leveraging Dracula's legend, yet a nice castle to visit. Lots of steps to climb, but worth a tour of the inside to see nicely wood-decorated interiors.

This is a very hyped up place. Even though almost everyone is aware that it has nothing to do with Dracula, they flock here in droves thanks of course to great tourism marketing. It would be fine, if the castle or whatever is worth the visit, and there are pleasant grounds to walk. Nothing. It is hardly a castle, with... More
