We have installed easy to read informational plaques and a media room for our visitors. We are currently restoring the park, as well as renovating all the facilities. We are also preparing additional cultural events and entertainment for our visitors.Following the Castle’s change of ownership, director Narcis Ion remained with the Ministry of Culture, but has continued to be our valued advisor. We have welcomed a new group of managing directors: Lia Doru Trandafir, Corin Trandafir, and Alexandru Priscu. We are happy to receive every guest that comes to visit us.Welcome to our castle, our home.Sincerely,Dominic HabsburgMaria-Magdalena HolzhausenElisabeth Sandhofer « less

Visited during my trip to Romania after recommendation. Stunning scenery, very interesting history of Vlad the Impaler and a must when visiting Romania.

I wanted to see Draculas real castles so I went to Hunyad Castle (best by far) and the Poenari Castle of Vlad Tepes. Although I don't think Bran castle is associated with the real Dracula, they certainly market it that way. The castle is fun to walk through, there are so many rooms and half of them closed off. You... More

Bran Castle was probably the first attraction on my list when I knew I'd be visiting Romania. It is probably the best known of the Romanian castles due to the tenuous link with Dracula (Vlad Tepes). I'd anticipated the visit and was quite disappointed when I actually got to visit. The exterior of the castle isn't as striking as other... More

I was so disappointed in the castle. All that was included inside was info on the former royal family that now lives in the U.S. somewhere. There was one poster and uniform of Vlad Tepesh and a Teutonic Knight. There is no history there. Really sad.

We visited Bran castle today. It was busy as we went in peak time. After a small but moving line we walked up to the castle which at the top gi es amazig views. Inside was busy but we could move with ease and could see everything. Its an amazing castle with alot of political history. The Dracular story was... More

Well, the scenery makes it a 3/5 otherwise i would have give it a 2... It´s not that it´s that bad, i guess that we just expected more, the feeling we got was a lot of it was new made and did not fel autentic at all. It was so much people so could hardly walk around at all. Some... More

We visited in august , at the entrance of the castle were hundreds of people waiting to buy tickets, with babies crying and dogs and pushy people, we already started wondering when we will get in how it will be. After we finally manage to go in the castle yard to walk our way up it was impossible to get... More

This is not a vast gothic mansion, dark and creepy with large staircases and balconies, where Dracula can fly from. It is perched on a hill and there is a steep slippery pathway up to the castle, there the similarities to vampire films finish. The castle is actually quite small but mostly white, light and airy. It gets very crowded... More

To be honest, there isn't anything that I can say I disliked. Actually, I visited over Easter, in 2012. The market below the castle was filled with travelers from all over; some waiting to go to the castle, and others having just returned. During the little winding walk, up to the castle gates, it started drizzling. A perfectly mystic atmosphere... More

The Bran castle is probably the most touristy place in Romania. It is crammed with people visiting, and people selling souverniers. The castle itself is very white and shiny, and it has some quite beautiful exibits, but it is not really very interesting. It is just a bunch of things, sort of. It is OK to do if you are... More
