Huge, very well done. We were able to learn new things about old trades. The exhibits are lovingly taken cared of. The care takers are uncharged of several exhibits so, if you don't see them , look around , they are near by and some of them are real characters.

Worth all the money. Get your walking shoes and a wide lens camera. Ones need up to one day to visit the whole museum which is the biggest outdoor museum in Europe. Entrance ticket: 2-3 euro

Make sure you get yourself around the majority of this park. I'm sure it will be much nicer in the summer than winter, but it was still a good way to kill time!

This is an outdoor museum with all the old Romanian houses still preserved This museum gives you an inside look the the life of Romanian people in the olden times. It also has nice gardens a lake and very good Zoo attached to it. I will surely recommend this historical and heritage museum to everyone.

We like the village museum in Bucharest so we expected to like this one as well, but actually we loved it. First of all, the setting is absolutely gorgeous and there is A LOT to see. Bring comfortable shoes as there is considerably walking to be done. While we were not able to locate a guidebook or even some sort... More

Firstly this is not is Piata Mica as the Tripadvisor address suggests. The reviews here (and this one) refer to what is also known as the folk museum about 5km south west of town. Secondly - getting there and back is easy there is a bus from the railway station direct to the museum, its the last stop and this... More

Here you can see romanian house as they used to be, but in nature. In middle there is a beautifull lake. There are accomodation and places to eat also. This is the place to be if you want to catch everything about romanian people and culture. There are usually shows with romanian dancers specialy in the summer. http://www.muzeulastra.ro/

...this is how I felt like when visiting ASTRA. Located like 3 km from Sibiu, easy to find, this museum is like a big, beautiful history park, shows you a lot about Transylvanian values, it's outstanding! There is a "Village Museum" in Bucharest also but you cannot compare it. You can visit ASTRA in summer or winter, you'll get the... More
