I thought it was spectacular because it is located in a natural environment, it is great to visit in spring or autumn. You must have at least 4-5 hours to walk through the museum. Until 1 May the interiors of homes are unfortunately closed.

This museum is the perfect getaway from the city if you want to relax in the middle of the nature and still have a cultural experience. The perfect moment for a visit is during the spring - summer season, in a sunny day. You can see a lot of old style houses from all around Romania, including windmills and a... More

A must see in Sibiu. A great place to go back in time and experience the past of romanian peasants, the legacy of romanian people. In my opinion the Best time to visit is in spring when nature comes to life. Very relaxing, refresing and inspireing.

during the colder period the houses are closed but you can still visit the museum and study them from outside and peak through the windows. The walk is nice and relaxing and the restaurant in the middle is always a good stop on the way.

The Village Museum here is one of the best in the country and the whole park is a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. Forest, lake, fresh air and interesting exhibitions makes this a must see for any traveler visiting Sibiu.

A great day out if you are interested in the buildings and crafts of historical Romania. A full day if you expect to take in all it has to offer. In summer, you'll be dodging the numerous wedding party photographs taking place but the concession booths selling ice cream (and beer) are inexpensive and offer shade from the sun

A walk through the museum will take you back in time, some centuries ago, when peasants led a quiet life away from urban agglomerations. You'll have the opportunity to explore the village settlements with there traditions, habits, culture, in other words illustration of Transylvanian civilization in all its historical dynamics. If you want to take a short break there is... More

We spent a couple of hours walking around the Astra Museum. It's a fascinating collection of historic buildings from across Romania rebuilt in a large park. I bet it would be better in the summer when there are more people around and things are working but it was still a great way to spend a few hours.
