me and my brother popped in heare and had a great chat with friendly father he was most informative and gave his time personally without hesitation well worth a visit of this Iconic building

Beautiful artwork and artefacts. Not allowed to use camera inside although I have heard you can if you pay a fee of approx 8 leva to use your camera.

Great architecture outside.....visited twice, peaceful easily reached from a very walkable city....no photography hence do ask before u star clicking away...

Outside the cathedral we got pestered incessantly by dodgy cab drivers and money exchangers – which we duly ignored. The building itself however, is best viewed from across the road, near the entrance to the pedestrianised bit of town. Up close you don’t get to admire the lovely domes. Worth a visit no matter what religion you are. Just be careful around this area as its a hangout for bag snatchers

This is the pride of my town. The bells used to be heard 30km. away. The paintings around on the walls, the wood carvings- it is a perfect balance between art and religion. Funded by the citizens of Varna and finished in 1886 to commemorate Russian soldiers who died fighting for their liberation from the Ottoman Empire.
