After an exciting drive in the forest we reached "General Kantardjievo" village where we had a tasty lunch in the garden of a beautiful... More

We did this Jeep Safari on a rainy day as an alternative to the beach. The cost for each person was 50 Lev (around 25 €). First we visited a spot where we could take some pictures above the city. At this spot all Jeeps gathered and then started the trip. First destination was a small family business - producing... More

One of the excursions offered for tourists in Verna/Golden Sands is the "Jeep Safari". When you read the description it sound quite impressive: 4X4 Land-Rover jeeps driven by professional drivers, driving into the woods and visiting picturesque villages on the way, and stopping over for a lunch with free drinks. The reality is much grimmer, I'm afraid... the jeeps were... More

You are picked up directly from your hotel in an old military jeep and taken to the start point where all the jeeps meet up. The morning is spent driving round fields at speed whilst you are taken up and down steep slopes and drive through rivers. There are a couple of stops for photo opportunities and try your skills... Loved this, old Russian (?!?) Trucks get to see Bulgarian countryside with a watertight on route. Remember toilets in the sticks tend to be hole in the ground.

You also are taken to a place where you can taste honey and buy some, and you stop in a place where you can buy drinks and where you can go... More
