Walked through the Old Town and just kept going up, the views are good of the city; however, the police were dealing with some youngsters that were not respecting the ruins. Not a place to go at night or alone.

You can have a nice walk through the Old Town of Plovdiv to reach the top of one of the three hills it is biult upon. There are the ruins of the oldest settlements but quite unmaintained and unexplained for tourists. The view of the city is amazing and you can have a rest in 'Rahat Tepe' pub nearby.

One of the good view points over the city. The place definitely needs a clean up and some renovation, but the view is worth the steep accent.

Seems to be the spot for youngters to hang out at night going by the rubbish left behind. During the day, a quiet place for budding artists.

It's ok when you're very tired.) The food is quite plain and the choice is limited. Some meat, french fries, shopska salad + ayran, beer and something else. However, we lived not far away so we came there 2 or 3 times. A lot of cat beggars.

Offering some of the best views in town this is the hill not to be missed. You can see all surrounding hills from the top, minaret spires rising splendidly!

You need to use you imagination, bring a guide book or come on an organised tour because there were no interpretive materials at the site at all. You can walk, crawl, climb all over the ruins and take in the amazing views over the city and surrounding area. There were attempts to remove graffiti (Plovdiv is FULL of it!) from... More

This hill is thecenter of the second oldest European city /12 c.B.C./ and the oldest still living European town. Remains of so called "ciklop walls" are still visible.....

The Nebet Tepe experience is a bit other-worldly. As a lookout point over two thirds of the city it is unbeatable, with a 230-degree panorama from (roughly) SSW to NNE. On a clear day you can see forever. As an alleged tourist destination it is surprisingly understated and undermaintained. Although the place is in far better condition than it was... More
