I enjoyed my walk in Plovdiv old town very very much. It is like you are in another place, away from the city. You shouldn't miss it. My only consern is some new buildings, either abandoned constructions or reconstructions that affect the spirit of this beautiful place. Visit the churches you meet on the way, and reach the top of... More

Whilst quite a high little hill, its a windy route so you don't notice it. Some great photo opportunities with the old buildings and view of the city. Watch the cobblestones if you have gammy ankles.

We stop by Plovdiv kind of randomly on our roadtrip way to Istanbul, and what a discovery! The old town is so charming: beautiful ottoman architecture style buidings, painted with one each color making the streets looking so good! also with old style paved road and antic theater and fortress site close by.

This is a place that you can not even imagine that exists. There is a lot of museums with history and restaurants with traditional Bulgarian delicious food that everyone should try.I grown-up in this town so I definitely recommend with two hands! Enjoy

Absolutely charming! At times I felt that I was lost in time. Not only is there amazing Bulgarian history, but also Roman history that the city has chosen to proudly display. I was here for over a week and it still felt too short!

Graphic beautiful old city of Plovdiv with a lot of art galleries around and except the ancient theatre very close it offers shopping or cofee options in the beautiful main road. Plovdiv is located in the middle of 7 hills (now remain only 6,one demolished to become a mall) which if you climb to the top offer unbelievable city view... More

Ploviv's old town is very well preserved and is definately worths a visit. A tip for the ladies : avoid high heels since the roads are made of huge river stones with big gaps between and walking under these circumstances would be very difficult.
