Probably the nicest City in Bulgaria. Nice Old town with good pavements (which is not normal for Bulgaria)

As the sixth oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, this is a perfect place to stroll and take in all the details. It's all good. Wear sturdy shoes--the streets are irregularly paved with old stones--shiny from the many feet that have traveled over them through millenia. Leave plenty of time to explore. I love this place. It is filled... More

Plovdiv is a fascinating city to visit. Many streets are cobblestone and winding. Parking could be a problem, but underground lots are available. The old part of town and the Roman theater are "must sees."

Beautiful old historic part of Plovdiv, situated on a hill. You get there by walking on cobbled roads and u will prob need the whole day to see everything. The whole area is full of narrow streets with numerous old and beautifully coloured houses. U can buy a combined ticket to visit all, costs 5 lev for students, included is... More

Just a great area to visit or stay in. Don't miss the Ancient Roman Theater at the top of the hill. The streets are hilly and cobbled -- not remotely "accessible" to anyone who can't hike.
