Interesting symbol

One of the must see landmarks in this city. Interesting symbol of a new born country. Would have bought a souvenir with it, but didn't find one.

repainted frequently to mirror what is happening what a great idea. I had fun taking pictures on the monument and even met a lil girl that helped paint it this past time around when they involved the public

I was in Pristina a couple of times for work, and each time I went to visit the Newborn Monument. It is repainted with a different theme periodically and is always worth a visit!

In the middle of Pristina, it's a nice place to take some pictures and remember all the struggle this tiny country had to be recognized. It's a real "newborn" for a nation still at construction with a great future forward.

This sign represents the independence of the newborn Kosovo. At the time of my visit it was covered with graffiti, I guess not on purpose. Still, it was worth visiting as it conveyed a straightforward yet modest message to us the visitors and the world.

This is a must-see since it was THE face of this new state in 2008. It contains the 99 flags of the nations that recognized Kosovo at the time. More nations have later joined the list. A good place for a selfie, if you are alone!

Although this monument is no longer new or as politically important as it was when first erected, this still represents Kosovo's continuing quest for full independence and international recognition. In that sense, to witness this monument is to witness the continuation of that quest. And while it is clear there is still some way to go, the monument stands as... More

It may look like a bit of urban graffiti writ large, but no other monument expresses the fragile optimism of the world's newest country.

The NEWBORN monument is interesting to see, but two seconds and your done. It's not something I south out, but was happy to come upon it while walking around.

The monument is brilliant and the graffiti artwork is fantastic. A brilliant change to seeing the usual sparkling clean monument but gives out the same message.
