Worth a quick visit

This seven-letter monument is worth a stop. The graffiti on the letters is quite interesting, I am assuming it changes now and then. Very easy to spot.

The monument is of interest when you understand its origins but it just looks like a big graffiti mess

It's not a artistic statue, but you shouldn't miss it! 7 concrete letters spelling 'Newborn', as a reference to Kosovo being a newborn state - Europe's youngest. The symbolism in this monument is a capturing of the kosovan soul...

Yes, definitely it's not a 'wow' thing that would amaze you in an incredible way. It's a 'monument' made up of 7 letters: NEWBORN. But being a symbol of the independence of the country, it makes a great sense and indeed has a meaning. It's bacome an identifying object of both Prishtina and Kosovo.

This is a monument that is never the same, painted differently each time you visit. It is a stirring tribute to Europe's newest democracy.

Not the best thing I've seen, different from expected but because of the history of Kosovo this has been given a lot more importance than it should have.

Very busy street with lots of tourist traffic blocking the sign. Bad lighting due to sun glare. Hope to revisit before we leave at a better time of day.

It is not so much the monument itself. It is not ge story behind it. It was painted, but in no time at all, everybody wrote a message/name/date on it, which makes it colorful. It is a 'have to see', but not because of the monument.

It used to be painted with the flags of the 99 countries that recognized the independence of Kosovo but now the appearance is entirely different. The letters in the word NEWBORN are painted with names of people (probably tourists) drawings, quotations etc.etc.etc. Regardless its appearance, tourists never fail to stop by & take their selfies day or night time!;-)
