The sight of Kotor appeared in the middle of the steep rocks like an unbelievable gift! And the old town is really amazing - so authentic and ...special!

I really liked Old Town Kotor. I felt that the old town was much more authentic than Dubrovnik. It seems that there are much fewer souvenir shops but still a bunch of restaurants, etc.. The streets and alleys were really beautiful and really nice at night all lit up.

We joined a bus tour from Dubrovnik to see Kotor and Budva. Kotor was lovely, with a dramatic build up driving around the bay, seeing beaches and oyster farms, and small towns, before arriving in Kotor itself. We had a short walking tour of the old city by a fantastic guide who brought the main highlights of town to life... More

The Port of Kotor is a surprise, tucked away in between the mountains. We took a trip there and the old walled town is not only interesting but lovely with it;s narrow winding streets full of shops and cafes, bars and restaurants. The outer walls of the town go right up into and along the mountain behind the town. The... More

In this part of the world there is a walled city in every port. However, this is a nice one, not the best, but if you are in Kotor, you must go. Don't go just for the old town though.

The Old Town is Kotor is one of the most beautiful places I've visited. Charming streets, relaxing atmosphere, magnificient view of the Kotor Bay. Moreover, it is easy to get there from Budva by bus.

I went on a day trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro and the highlight of the trip was Kotor. This is a small walled city with winding streets and a great atmosphere-it really invites you to explore it.The whole city can be seen in 1-2 hours,so it makes more sense to see it as part of a trip around Montenegro, rather than a... The Old Town is beautiful with amazing views. WE loved strolling around in the evening, listening to lovely music outdoors, and eating delicious food. The walk over the town up to the fortress is gorgeous.

Kotor old town is like a mini Dubrovnik - old and beautiful, and surrounded by mountains and city walls. It's far less crowded though. We hired a local guide who had an amazing knowledge of the history of the area, which really made it come alive. If you drive to Kotor from the direction of Croatia, the views are stunning,... More
