I love this place. It is perfect for a walk when the weather is nice and for having a coffee with an amazing view over the Danube river and the city of Novi Sad. Amazing photo oportunities and very peaceful place to be.

Unfortunately the first visit was a little tainted by the appalling weather. Rain, and lots of it. Few places fare well in the rain. The second was better, with beautiful sunshine. There are many things to see here, but I can't really put them all in one basket to explain very well. There was an exhibition, and one of the... More

We visited Petrovaradin Fortress on a rainy day and this may of coloured our outlook of it. The views from the fortress of the Danube were lovely. The fortress itself was unremarkable. A nice place to visit but not necessarily a must see.

The fortress from the Astra-Hungarian Empire looks over the city of Novi Sad. Many people have mistakenly skipped this city in the past on their way to Belgrade and Sofia on a tour des capitals, but travelers are realizing more and more on of the best things about Serbia is this place right here. Films are shot in its old-timey... More

If you visit Novi Sad, you must come to Petrovaradin fortress. Place to enjoy, to have a nice bunch or business diner, or to eat delicious KREMPITA (typical cake of this region) on the fortress terrace.
