This Fortress is a must see when in this part of the world, the history alone of the fortress is amazing and the area that you view is only a small part of the overall area. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops in the fortress with a beautiful and relaxing views of Novi Sad. Unfortunately the museum is... More

You simply have to visit Petrovaradin fortress, not only during Exit festival. It is very interesting place to visit, fortress from 17 th century, built by French architect Voban, with so many watcing towers and massive walls all around. The function of the fortress was primarily for defense of the Turks, and during the centuries it's function turned to a... More

The largest fortress on Danube, designed by the French architect Voban. Huge place, if you can, book an underground tour at the museum on the fortress. Visit an lod town of Petrovaradin, just beneath the fortress. Beautiful views of the whole area!

One of the best preserved and most beautiful city fortresses in Central Europe. Great view on Danube and city, especially in the sunset. And famous clock, with love story beneath....find some locals to tell you all about it:)

Very good preserved fortress whose construction started in 17th century. It is located on the right bank of the Danube river on hilly terrain that dominates over the local area.

We spent a wonderful couple of hours walking around the place. It was a lovely walk, great views of the Danube, our kids loved it. A 'must do' in Novi Sad. The cons: 1. No info anywhere, the locals don't even seem to know who built it, who lived there, etc. 2. Not well maintained. There was trash all around,... More

Great for a walk during day time, there is the Museum club there at night that is great and it has the sights across the city any time you go there.
