Lviv is a very beautiful city. It is a crossroads of different cultures, religions and architecture. Many different churches such as Orthodox, Creek-Catholic, Catholic, Armenian churches and synagogue are in Lviv. The Lviv Opera is brilliant. The university is interesting building. If you climb on Zamcova Gora you can see all old town.

Lviv is a marvelous city with traditional European architecture. Since it was part of both the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Poland for many years, it was spared the ordeal of having unappealing Soviet buildings. Old Town is a jewel in the heart of Lviv which truly gives one the feeling of what this city was like 100+ years ago. Lviv is... More

We visited the beautiful city of Lviv for a few days before new year. We had a fantastic time in the touristy centre of Lviv. Fantastic coffee shops. Pubs and restaurants. Something for every ones budget. Very helpful staff in all the places we visited to eat and drink. The churches are just beautiful and amazing. Lviv must be Ukraines... More

3rd trip to experience Lviv in winter. Great time walking, shopping, and enjoying the community in this center of the city. Music playing everywhere. Lights and a huge decorated tree in front of Opera House. A very relaxing and enjoyable safe way to spend time.

While being in Lviv, you will not feel any different than being in a typical, calm European city. Tiny streets and great people will definitely make your stay unforgettable. The Old Town of Lviv is a must place for visiting!

Nice old town , I like the atmosphere and people are mostly nice there too. There are many churches, museums and cafés there. But you need to be careful and wear flat shoes, because there are cobblestones everywhere.

When I first came to Lviv I was unfamiliar with its interesting history - this part of the world has changed hands so many times so had a lot of history to take it! We frequented many businesses around the town centre, including restaurants, bakeries and a local brewery - this is a great place to start any familiarisation with... More

By far, my favorite city to walk around in Europe. Little disturbed by the bombs of WWII, L'viv is a smorgasbord of several centuries of architecture. Visit the other cities of Europe if you must, but put L'viv in at least the top five.
