Like Prague, but younger and hipper!

I was really impressed. Lemberg (Lviv) looks like a hip version of Prague. Lots of young and friendly people, streets are clean and houses are renovated. The prices in coffee... read more

almost designed for tourists.this central hub gives tourists the ideal area from which to commence exploring as ,unsurprisingly, it contains most restos ,pubs and watering holes

Took a guided tour provided by InLviv, ane excellent tourist service. Price was very reasonable. Lots of walking on cobblestones, so wear appropriate footwear. Very interesting old buildings, churches, & portions of the original old wall of the city. Wouldn't mean much w/out a knowledgeable guide, but ours was great.

Too much tourists in this place at any time. Nice architecture, enough restaurants & bars here. Police paying attention to what is happening on the square

The Old Town in Lvov city centre is where many of the sights, maybe first and foremost the churches and cathedrals are located. This part of Lvov is fairly well restored and reminds much of beautiful and cosy old Hansa towns such as Lübeck in Germany as well as in Poland. Lots of restaurants and pubs are available for when... I came here with my girlfriend, both of us were pretty excited about it and we came by bus from Krakow, Poland (which is a wonderful city). The bus stops at the Lviv Arena, which is a looooong walk to the city center. The walk was awful, really old soviet buildings and people living in a really bad condition, and... More

Lviv and the square was not destroyed in WWI or WWII so all buildings are original and historic. A tour guide would improve your experience and understanding of each building such as all buildings have only 3 windows but Polish King Sobieski's residence has more, well because he was the King.
