We visited the garden during our week long stay in Sibenik and returned for lunch here on our last day. The garden itself is compact, but well-stocked, and probably the only open area of its size on the steep hillside. Lunch was reasonably priced and we were thoroughly entertained by the antics of a young cat which had taken up... More

not easy to find unless you climb all the stairs and through all the mazes of turns and stairs. A cute little garden and you can relax and sit for coffee and ice cream.

It's nice to sit and relax in the garden. A lot of flowers and different types of herbs. Interesting, but I personally expected it to be bigger. And when the caffee / restaurant on the entrance is full, then you need walk near the people while they're eating, which is not so confortable since you might think that you'll disturb... More

not easy to find, but a good place to sit down after an all day walking around. There you can find a bar with the view over the garden.

There are not a huge number of garden you can visit around Dalmatia so it was great when this was restored and re-opened. The garden is set fairly high up in the old town of Sibenik and is a great little Oasis to while away some time. I love to take a book and sit for an hour or two.... More

The gardens looked nice, but because there's a restaurant at the entrance and you need to cross the terrace to see the gardens, you feel almost obliged to take a drink at the terrace. Not very welcoming if you only want to visit the gardens.

These medieval gardens are beautifully set - pity that the notices and names of the different herbs and trees are only listed in Croatian with some scientific names thrown in. Also missing is a more detailed background to the history of these gardens and the old monastery.

Lovely monastic garden. Ideal place for a rest after exploring the old city. Follow the signs to find it (last couple are not well placed). Good coffee and cakes available.
