For sailors, i would recommend this little island and harbour anytime. this is second time I've sailed there and would go back everytime.
Really small but cosy. it has a wonderful bakery, a few great restaurants, and a small super market. the bar on the marina is more than helpful.

The Island of Iz (Iž) is a small island located near Zadar, Croatia.
There are ferries going to Iz from Zadar 3-4 times daily. There are ferries just for passangers, or ferries where you can transport your car (look at http://www.jadrolinija.hr/).
