In the centre of pula, great historic relevance, other worthwhile sights not far away.Felt I was in a place which had seen at least four different nationalities ,if the walls could talk.

While in Pula this is the main site and therefore a must see. The tickets are 40 HRK/person, which is a bit steep considering that there isn't that much to see inside. This of course also means you don't have to reserve more than 30 min or so for this site and you can use the rest of the day... More

If you haven't seen a Roman amphitheater anywhere else, the Pula amphitheater is in good condition and has a small museum which has a collection of ancient jars. It is more accessible than the coliseum in Rome and you won't be overrun by other visitors, but you don't really get to see much under the arena, where gladiators and beasts... More

A well preserved Roman amphitheater , from its arena you get a sense of what the gladiators felt , and from the seating area what the spectators saw.

This is very ordinary compared to the colosseum in Rome. Much smaller and very little atmosphere. One of the main reasons we went to Pula was to see this amphitheatre. We were very disappointed with this and the rest of the old city. There are much better places in Croatia to visit.

When you are in Pula you must see old Roman Amphitheatre. It's nice place to visit. For me is the most beautiful amphitheatre in Europe.

A must for anyone coming to visit Croatia, in better condition than the one in Rome. Amazing concert venue.

Loved every minute we spent there. The Arena is one of the 5 best preserved amphitheaters in the world and a must to see. We spent quite a long time wandering around and then went and had coffee at a tiny cafe that looks down into the Arena - magical.

This amphiteatre is located in the city centre of Pula and you'll find parking facilities nearby. This place is one of the few Roman amphiteatres still standing and well preserved in the world. The local museum also shows some Roman artifacts that will give you a good impression of life that day. During the summer holidays this place can be... More

This is an amazing amphitheater and so well preserved. You can get a good sense how the games were conducted in Roman times. Don't forget to go below the amphetheater to see the museum which houses quite a few Roman artifacts in very good condition. I thought the museum was very interesting and definately well worth the drive/ visit to... More
