As fountains go this one is a bit on the ugly side. Its just inside one of the gates to the old city and will be hard to miss in any walk in the old town. Probably worth a passing glance at best

This is a big, circular, domed fountain in the old town of Dubrovnik. You will come across it as soon as you enter the city through the Pile Gate. Unlike many fountains, it does not have a central spout of water. Rather there are gargoyles set around it's circumference, which spout water from their mouths. It's not particularly attractive but... More

This is a rather iconic fountain located at the north end of the Placa, just south of the Pile Gate. Guides often use this site as a meeting place to begin a walking tour. There's a couple bar/restaurants just to the west and several attractions nearby including an entrance to the City Walls.

It was a fountain, nothing great about it - though I read that you can drink the water as it is clean and fresh but when you see the fountain itself you may have doubts as I did.

The fountain itself, while obviously historic, is ugly. But each of the gargoyle faces surrounding the panels are hysterical! We came to like this thing.....

The best part of this fountain is the water in it is meant to be enjoyed! Fill your water bottles here as people have been doing for years. Water is clean and safe to drink! Location is right inside the Pile Gate so before (or after) your trip around the walls, have some fresh water. Stay hydrated! Save your money... More

The fountain is the first thing you see when you enter the ols town. It has an interesting history. It is a meeting place for all kinds of people, singers as well as beggars. Get some water from the fountain and go on into the old city....

You will pass by if you walking around INSIDE the city wall and you will not miss it BUT only one has water comes out. I don't think it should be listed as attraction!
