We did a day trip from Dubrovnik to Korcula. It's more of the same. We enjoyed it whilst we were there but now looking back at the pictures I don't see the difference. It's a tiny town that is steeped back in time but so is "old city' in Dubrovnik. In hindsight I would've done day trips to Montenegro or...

Day trip via bus and boat. Had great guide who made the trip.. korcula is small but fun and very touristy. Do the walking tour if you can, only one hour which was included with our tour via glob tours.com
We took a tour from Dubrovnik to Korcula island and it was beautiful. The city is a small walled Venetian style city similar to Dubrovnik but even more quaint and charming if that's possible. You can climb to the top of the church tower, it's a steep climb and a bit narrow but it's nice. Also you can see the...

Stopped at Ston on our way to this island and this was a hidden gem. Passed a good hour here in this small but interesting village. Onto the island via ferry 20 mins then spent a good couple of hours here in the old town and surrounding area. So much history to be learnt, loved it.
Even on a rainy day this destination was really worthwhile as the walk around the walled city was a pleasure with beautiful scenery, quaint houses, good transport by ferry to the mainland at Orebic (twenty minutes on a regular approximately hourly schedule).
We had deserts on the terrace of the Filippi restaurant, very good and recommended whereas the Konoba Mareta...

But there's always a plan B. Autotrans run a once-a-day bus (3 p.m. except Sundays) from Dubrovnik coach station (near Gruz port) direct to Korčula - the cost...

We did a trip organised by the hotel, well organised . We stopped at Ston first the on to Korcula by bus and ferry. A lovely little place. bus journey was ok on return and stopped at a winery for a tasting session!
This trip was astonishing as we went back in time. we visited the home of Marco Polo, but note the Italians do not accept that Korcula was the birthplace of Marco Polo. The church of St Mark is impressive. very baroque inside. WE dined at a superb restaurant called
Loved the whole island. Thought it was particularly attractive with the lovely buildings and the whole atmosphere of the place. Some lovely shops selling great jewellery and also some very nice restaurants. Only had a short time there but really enjoyed it.
