We had a guided tour of the old town. It is a very busy place due to the regular visit of cruise ships. However, it does quieten a bit when the ships depart in the late afternoon. A truely fabulous place and quite moving to see some of remnants of the damage caused in the civil war period. More

We spent a wonderful day exploring Old Town in Dubrovnik. The walls encompass a city of stone structure that wind up and down with beautiful views. We enjoyed the magnificent churches, buildings, walkways and museums. Food, art and wine abound! A very intersting day with beautiful views surrounding the walls. A must see! More

This is the most famous attraction in town. You have to visit this old city area surrounded with city old walls. Be avare that the restaurants near to the big square are all very touristic and not that much tasty. But beside of this; you will find so many tasty restaurants in the nearby small streets. Don't be shy to... More

sadly, unlike Split, few people (I was informed by my Croatian tour guide) actually live within the "old Town"- therefore at points it can feel a bit like a tourist trap- the amount of tourists can be overwhelming at times; but it is a beautiful city. Wander down to the end of the old city and venture out and around... More

Preserved and renovated after the war in early 90's. I like it in winter when there is only few dozens of tourists, even most of the restaurants are closed. Enjoyable for uneventlful holiday. More

Just the sheer uniqueness. The wonderful buildings, lack of traffic and narrow streets. More

I was in Dubrovnik's old town when i was a child and this was my first time back since. It's a beautiful place. There's so much in such a small place. Beautiful bars and restaurants all over...some a bit pricey though. I'd go by the top 10 on tripadvisor and you won't go too far wrong. As you go into... More

Beautiful buildings nestled within the fort, word of caution though... It gets crazy busy when the cruise ships disembark at 2pm More

It's probably the most beautiful city i've been to. A drawback is that it is so crowded with tourists. There is no authentic local culture inside the walls, it's all tourist shops and businesses. Still, it's a must see. More
