Mljet is one of the more remote and less developed islands with a limited ferry service. Two ferry types are available to/from Dubrovnik a car ferry and a catamaran. This is Croatia's 8th largest island is approximately 3 km wide and 37 km long. Mljet is known as the 'Green Island' for its lush and abundant fauna and vegetation.

Quiet small beaches with amazing scenery. A really great place to spend a day with a few good quality restaurants. Took a bicycle to get from the harbour to the national park area, it takes too long to walk.

A visit to Mljet is an absolute must when visiting Dubrovnik. Catch the fast boat from Gruz in the morning and be at the National park by lunch time. Bicycles are the best way to see the island in all its glory with beautiful lakes, forests and mountains. We hired bicycles at Polace and cycled over hill into the national... More

we spent the day swimming in the lakes, and biking to the monastery. We ended the day with a lunch at a restaurant that served us fresh fish, delicious! We took a private boat tour with Dubrovnik boat tours, and they were great!

Peaceful place where one can spend couple of days and enjoy the nature, clear and clean sea, pine trees, crickets and more... One of eight nature parks in Croatia, so keep in mind the keep the environment clean and of course learn more about its rich cultural and historical heritage!

Worth visit! Possibly as a day trip from Dubrovnik. Take a catamaran from Dubrovnik harbor ( usually leaves at 9:15 am, heads back at 16:55) to Polace, where it is possible to rent bikes to bike around the Big lake in NP. Beautiful small road with stunning views and possibilities of bath.

National park excellent, hire bikes very good and swimming in lakes superb. Choose cycle hire carefully as rates vary tremendously. Butterflies everywhere!

Visited for a day at the end of June, well kept park and relaxing place to wind down. St. Mary's church and Benedictine Abbey well worth seeing. Bring a picnic and chill out. It probably gets very busy in July and August.

One pearl on the Adriatic for those who love hiking and nature. You can do many thinks by bike but also rent a car for few hours. I used a rent car for 5 hours.

Lovely and intact nature surrouned by the beautiful see. This is peaceful place for relaxation. Planty cycle tracks through the woods make your holidays a little active. You can also sightseeting with the boat and visit the little church St.Maria .
