Visited Mljet while on a cruise. We wanted to visit the Croatia and visit many of the towns and islands on the coast. We don't like packing and unpacking each day so found this fantastic cruise on La Belle de L'Adriatique, CroisiEurope cruise line. It is French line so the food was great. We found the service amazing as well.... More

If you want to hide away from the rudeness and the millions of tourists in Dubrovnik, Mljet is an island for you. An hour-boat trip away from Dubrovnik and there you are, clear water, quiet scenary, beautiful landscape. It was such a paradise. People are friendly and helpful. A must see! Also, hire a car to go to the natural... More

Take the small boat rides they offer couple times throughtout the day! Nice little walk around the whole island shouldn't take more than an hour. Old fort at the far side! Definitely recommend if you visit the old fortress city of Dubrovnik, walk to the far side of the walled city where most shuttles drop you off; or just ask... More

Catch the catamaran from Gruz harbour at 09.00 which takes one and a half hours to reach Polace, the second stop the catamaran makes on the island of Mljet. Usually we don't bother rushing to exit the airplane or boat first but on this occasion I would recommend that you try to be the first in the queue to disembark... More

We were recommended to visit this Island by Croatians living in the UK and again by the hotel staff; much of the island is a National Park and it looked and sounded good from all the research I had done. After paying for the ferry ride (which was nearly an hour and half), on arrival at Mljet we were then... More

Beautiful, tranquil island, even though there seems to be a lot of visitors daily. The boat ride over takes around 15 minutes from the old town harbour. We walked to the other side of the island for a swim - there are metal steps located around the island to get in and out of the water. There are a few... More

Gorgeous secluded national park island with lovely walks. One of the many jewels of the Dalmatian islands!

I loved Mljet for its nature and nice relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Good superfresh fish dishes in local konobas! Wonderful little island in the national park's lake. Would come again!

Croats are very interested in showing their 8 national parks however, Mjlet is pretty but not much different than any of the other islands. We biked the entire island in 3 hours. Biking and kayaking, scuba diving available to rent.
