Recommend you are fit if you attempt the climb but the view is well worth it and gives a good perspective on the Old Town and walls.

If you enjoyed the city walls, you will enjoy the fort. The views are amazing and the fort is a respite from the crowds; I suppose the cruise tour guides don't bother coming here (yay!). Apparently they do Hamlet here (annually?), which must be amazing. It's really not more of a climb than everywhere else in old town Dubrovnik, where... More

The short climb is definitely worth it for the views. The cable car was shut during our trip so this really was the best place to get a view of the city especially as there was no one collecting the supposed entrance fee. We were in off peak season so pretty much had the place to ourselves. The only thing... More

As noted by others there are a fair amount of stairs to get to the castle, but the views are certainly worth it. Great photo ops of the city walls and the old town from here. The place is empty but still quite neat to see it and there was nobody there when we went. Not sure people know the... More

There are a lot of stairs to get to this attraction, but it is well worth the climb. The interior is empty, but it is still great to look at. (And if you are a Game of Thrones fan, you can see where many scenes were shot in "King's Landing.") When you climb the stairs to the second level, you... More

The climb is a little steep, but not too bad. When you get to the top and look back at the beautiful walls of Dubrovnik Old town it's more than worth it. I read that even though this site is included in the Dubrovnik card, it is often overlooked because it's located outside the city walls which was so true.... More

The ticket to get in is the walls ticket. There are a ton of stairs and there isn't really anything to see inside(it's empty and they use it for events) but the view is great.

This is free if you bought a ticket for the City wall and visit on the same day. Else it is 30 kuna and I think then you get the city wall for less if you visit the same day. This is a must if you bought the ticket for the City walls. Amazing views. And on the way up... More

This is a wonderful example of a medieval castle brilliantly positioned to provide support and protection for the old town of Dubrovnik. The visit here is included in the price of your Old Town ticket or costs 30 Kunas if you don't do the walls. It stands proudly overlooking the town and is a great historical monument and well worth... More

It seems most people who buy the ticket for the City Walls are unaware they can use to visit Lovrijenac. When I went there, I was the only one inside. As mentioned before, it was used for filming Game of Thrones. There are some great views of the City Walls and the sea. Not much to see inside, though.
