This fort is included in your city walls ticket. The view from the top is stunning in all directions. It closes at 19.00 and we were there from about 17.30 until we were told it was closing. Hardly anyone else around, perfect time to visit the fort. Lots of stairs but you can't avoid those in Dubrovnik :)

Location: About 280m or 3-5 minutes walk from Pile Gate of City Wall. Entrance fees is included in the City Wall ticket that cost 110 Kuna. If you didn't go City Wall first, the entrance fee would cost 30 Kuna to get into Fort Lovrijenac. There are few staircases that lead up to the fort. The closest would be near... More

The walk up steep stairs to get to the fort is a real killer but is well worth it. This is used in the filming of G.O.T.

Spectacular views from here. There were ATV available for rent but unfortunately didn't have enough time.

Beautiful views of a turquoise bay and castle walls - if you've watched Game of Thrones you will relive the scenes! Keep your ticket from your walk around the walls and reuse(the same day) to enter the fort -it will cost you £6 if you throw it away - which I did!

The fort entrance fee is included with the old city walls entrance ticket, but you don't need to visit on the same day. The fort itself is of architectural and historical interest and there are good views from the different levels. When we visited there were few other visitors and plenty of photo opportunities.

If you buy a ticket for the Dubrovnik City Wall, the entry to Fort Lovrijenac is included in that ticket. It’s bare, but the views are great. From Pile gate it is a 10min walk. Take the stairs next to Gallus restaurant and follow the path. Some advice: - Plan about 1 hour. - There are many stairs to climb... More

This is a great place to observe Dubrovnik from outside the walls, whilst soaking up some sun and getting away from the boat loads of tourists. The architecture is powerful yet with some beautiful touches that bely the speed with which this place was said to be built. It is great to clamber around the walls. And don't forget the... More

A good reminder of the recent history of upheaval in this part of the world, with many photos of the damage to the beautiful old city and the world news reports of the early nineties.
