It's a bit of a hike up, but well worth the view of Dubrovnik and its walls. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you will recognize this shot, taken so many times of King's Landing. There isn't much to the 'fort', but it's nice and quiet and provides a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view for a... More

Great place to visit for an hour or so with excellent views of the old town and a must for Game of Thrones fans.

Another must see for Game of Thrones fans, the fort will help to make sets come alive. The entry fee to the fort is included in the city walls and definitely worth it if you've been round the walls anyway (like every tourist should)! The views are stunning - be sure to get a group photo and the fort even... More

Loved this place, you get in with your city walls ticket and it has great views of the walls and the sea. Great to sit and feel the cool breeze in piece and quiet away from the busy walls and Main Street. Also a great place to watch the kayaker and swimmers down below.

A visit to the fort is included in the price of the ticket for the city walls. The fort is situated outside of the old town, but it is very easy to get to. If you are a fan of Games of Thrones, you will love this as it has been used in the series. The fort doesn't take long... More

Sparse interior with no information about the place, but worth the visit for the views over the old town.

After walking the city walls in the evening, we climbed to the top of the fort the following morning. The views were just as stunning and the whole place was surprisingly quiet and we were initially unsure if we should be there! The entry fee (30kn) is included in the city walls ticket price so don't forget to take the... More

On a rocky outcrop just west of Pile Gate is this monumental fortress. Fort Lovrijenac (St Lawrence Fort) was built in the 14th C to protect Dubrovnik's first harbour below, called Kalarinja. It stands on top of a 37m high cliff and has walls up to 12m thick in places. It has had a mixed history, in WW1 it was... More

the fort is accessed just to the right of Pile Gate (as you look towards the sea) and the wall ticket allows you free entry. You walk past the sea kayaks and swimming area and up steps to the fort. It was empty when we were there and very peaceful.

It is easy to miss this little Gem. It is part of the Game of Thrones series and offers a great perspective of the wall. Admission is included with your ticket to walk the wall.
