Not obvious to find the route to the Fort. Access alongside the market area down a slope where the buses stop at the Pile Gate, you will see a sign high up on the wall at the end of the slope. The climb up is fairly long and steep in places but easily accessed. For those with a Dubrovnik card... More

but worth it. Perhaps because of the difficulties finding the path, the fort had verr few people in it when we arrived. The fort is in good condition and the views are really lovely, especially for getting pictures of the walls and old city.

Old fort is now a museum to the defenders of Dubrovnik during the Balkan crisis. Well worth a visit delivering a poiniont reminder of the waste wars create.

You look back towards the city walls from here, and it's a view worth seeing. You also see beyond the immediate town which is interesting. Lots of Games of Thrones filmed here, and it's easy to see why. Worth a visit but only if you are fit with good knees

We went in the late afternoon after walking the city walls (included in the price of the walls). Some amazing views of the old town and the island of Lokrum. Plenty so steps to climb but worth the effort.

We did the fort because it was included in the price of the City Walls. I'm glad we did it because it is in amazing condition! It is worth the time to walk around inside of it.

As with all the ancient fortifications in Dubrovnik it's well maintained. An impressive fort and from the top you gets some great views across the city. Entry is included in the ticket for the city walls.

The view from the front and the top of the Fort is incredible; you see the full city in all it's glory. Go up at sunset for an insane view and very few other tourists (at least while we were there in September).

This Fort gives you a glimpse into the past. We were on a Game of Thrones tour and this was a great stop. The views from here were also spectacular. We loved looking at location shots from the TV show and seeing where they were shot. The cannonballs on display were also impressive. If you have purchased a ticket to... More

Lots of steps to get there, but well worth it, with photo opportunities everywhere. Great care has to be taken, especially with small children in tow.
