Sadly, I was in Dubrovnik in April and so it was still quite cool outside in the evenings. Nevertheless I loved the Troubadour Jazz Cafe and it's great chilled out vibe. It really is something from nothing as far as the location is concerned. The place is stuck in what is essentially a back ally next to the Cathedral, but... More

We love this bar. It has such a great atmosphere and a good crowd. The live jazz is great. We were pleased to discover there is even live music at lunch time. More

The price of the cold drinks was very high, even for Dubrovnik's high scale. Also they don't serve hot beverage at night. I couldn't have the coffee. The music was so so, easy listening jazz classics. The waitress was kind. More

This "Jazz Cafe" is owned by the lead singer of the Jugoslavian entry in the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest. The photos of the group adorn the Walls of the tiny interior of this cafe. The performances take place in the courtyard outside. Pull up a seat, order a drink and just revel. The band performing played, mellow middle of the... More

We were in Dubrovnik for a week and went to the jazz cafe on 3 occasions. Some reviewers have said that the drinks are expensive but in our view no more so than comparable places in the UK (eg Leeds, Manchester). What these reviewers forget is that they are experiencing live music for free. Although the music was probably closer... More

How can a place that has such great music have such crappy service? The music is the draw here and is well worth it. Though, to be honest, some musicians are much better than others. The problem was the service. Prices were high, they seemed to be out of half the things on the menu, worst Mojito I've ever had,... More

Buniceva at the rear of the cathedral, was our favourite place for an after dinner drink and to soak up the atmosphere. It was lovely. Later in the evening at the Troubadour Jazz cafe you can expect a pianist, drummer and double bass. Over several evenings we heard plenty of easy listening but no jazz - there were numbers by...
