Superb views all around the old town walls, if you can manage the thousand or so steps it is a must do when in Dubrovnik. Well worth the effort. Such a lovely place to be. Go as we did early in the morning when it's not too hot or crowded.

It is a superb attraction. Very well conserved and easy walking with some steep stair but manageable. We recommend: 1- go with light clothes and also light colors. 2- bring some water with you. Upstairs there are some spots where you can have some but you will pay at least 30% more than in the city 3-go as early as... More

An easy slow walk along the top of the castle walls gives beautiful views across the city. Stopped at one of the shops to have a cold drink and gaze across the calm seas.

The view from the wall is amazing, especially from the north side of the wall. I recommend you get in the wall from the entrance near Ploce gate at the time they open, than you can avoid tourist group and have the best part of the wall all by yourself.

We were told by friends to not miss the walk on the walls. It was absolutely worth the 100 kuna we had to pay. The views are amazing and it gives a very good idea of the outline of the old town and surroundings. Go early before the cruise ships arrive and the heat gets to you.

Almost 2 kilometers of walking going the full round, but if you are planning on doing only half of it I suggest going up from the Pile gate. The view of the ocean is just amazing. Not for people with fright of heights, but a great experience.

Really enjoyed walking around the walls and the various views inside and outside the old town. It really is worth making the effort to get there early and be well ahead of the crowds which seem to build up from about 10.30. Also the earlier you get there you can avoid the mid day heat . There are a number... More

An absolute must. If there is only time to do one thing is Dubrovnik this should be it. Takes about an hour and you get the best views of the city and the Adriatic from it. Great exercise before lunch or dinner!
