Wall walk

Did the walk, best time to go is early morning or late afternoon, gets pretty hot and busy in the middle of the day. Took us 2 hours.

Entry to the walls is meant to close around 630pm so I squeezed in around 6:25pm which gave me plenty of time to explore the walls. The biggest advantage of going at the end of the day is the temperate is far more pleasant, there is less people and you get an amazing view of the sunset from the top!... More

We enjoyed walking the walls. You get a great view of the city. If you are visiting in the height of summer, take a hat and water as it can be very hot. And don't fall for touts selling tickets for more than the 100 kuna standard price.

Worth doing but watch temperature. We did it at midday and suffered. On the upside not so busy but take water.

This is definitely something to do. I recommend walking it very early in the day or late in the day.

I was not looking forward to this, but ,did so to please my husband. I am so glad i did,the views are breathtaking, but the walk is very hard work in places. Not for the faint hearted!!!..A very unique experience.I will never forget the experience.

The most touristy thing you can do, but you must if you are in Dubrovnik. Unreal views of the city and the sea.

We were on the city walls by 9 am and went up on to the walls, it wasn't too crowded and the views were well worth to 100kn, cash or credit card, but no Euros. The ticket also included the fort (30 kn on its own) take some water with you if it's hot, but there are some snack bars... More

We walked around the walls after 6pm and this was a great decision as the temperature had dropped and the angle of the sun on the city was beautiful. Lots of Game of Thrones locations!

lovely experience, although it shuts entry at 7pm in the evening, it would have been great to know this before hand as we missed doing the walls in sunset as it was too hot in the day
