I loved everything about Dubrovnik! The scenery was breathtaking, the food different, and the beaches were superb. Defiantly worth a visit.

The old city walls circumvent the city. You can find stairs the lead up to the city walls, and there is a fee. Beautiful views again, you can see the city, the water. Highly recommend.

Dubrovnik is among the best preserved and restored medieval cities in Europe but it can be frustrating to fight the crowds. Most of the tourists don't know that you can walk around the entire old city on top of the walls. Climb might be a better word than walk but any healthy person can spend the day up here. Less... Dubrovnik is one beautiful mid evil city that maintained its original infrastructure for 100's of years. Breathtaking scenery, excellent seafood restaurants, very clean, a true gem in Europe and the wall was the reason why Dubrovnik maintained its infrastructure. Must visit

Fantastic views.!..A wonderful walk, seeing things you can't see clearly from the inside of the old town.

Beautiful views of the tiled rooftops and overlooking the sea. Start early and bring water and a small snack especially during summer months. We started from the "back side" not overlooking the sea, but overlooking the city. This way you can see the best part first, and if you choose to exit prior to going all the way around you... More

The city walls in Dubrovnik are truly amazing and you can walk round (and above) the whole of the old town. It is actually longer than you think and a few sections of steep steps up towers so my advice is take some water and try and go when it's cooler but definately the best way to see all of... More

A definite must do. BUT beware, there are over 1,000 steps. Great views of the Old City and there are toilets and places to sit.

Having done this previously in 2008, this walk can be taxing for those who might have trouble walking. The views from the walls are awesome, but it takes over 90 minutes (which includes stops to read the monuments) to finish. In a couple of areas, the wind blows pretty fierce, so watch your footing and your balance!
