So easy to get to. A lovely place to wander around, swim or laze around. There are places for drinks or to eat, but superb for a picnic too.

Lokrum Island is worth a visit esp in the afternoons if u hv spare time. The return ferry ride from the old town is 70 Kunas and is rather frequent. Bring your swim gear if you'd like to dip in the sea. Watch out for the sharp rocks and stones though, and if u hv wet shoes, wear them! Quite... More

Having kayaked around this the day before it was a tad more relaxing taking the 15 mins boat trip from Dubrovnik here the next day! Amongst the strutting peacocks you can swim in the salt lake (cold) as well as the Adriatic (warmer!).

When you're around the Adriatic sea and the Mediterranean you should check out bathing sights with smooth, rocky bottoms and clear water that you can dive into. Lokrum has that.

Gorgeous island with peacocks roaming around, a little water cove to have a relaxing swim in, a tiny botanical garden...yes, this is one of the most unspoiled places but wouldn't spend more than half a day as the place is very tiny. boats run at regular intervals. would give this place 3.5 stars out of 5. There is a cafe... More

We were only in Dubrovnik for three days but so glad we chose to spend one of them exploring the island of Lokrum. Easily visible from the city, it's only a 15mins away via boat from the Old City harbour and well worth the small boat fee (which includes entry fee to the island). There's tons to do on the... More

A 15 minute taxi boat from the main harbor of Dubrovnik. There are signs posted throughout the island directing visitors to various sights or you can buy a map. We didn't want to pay for the map so we made use of the signage, which was not the easiest way to find things. Despite this, the island itself is beautiful.... More

We spent half a day here and didn't even make it to the north side of the island. Gorgeous peacocks run amok on this island, and if you might just be able to catch a couple of them in full plumage. The "Dead Sea" watering hole was fun, but the far superior swimming and diving spot are the flat rocky... More

Lovely peaceful Island. Peacocks roaming around (we saw some baby peacocks too) tortoises and plenty of other wildlife. Regular boats from Dubrovnik harbour every half hour until 8pm (summer season). To do it justice I would recommend that you allow at least 4 to 5 hours to explore.

If you're in Dubrovnik you must make sure to visit the beautiful, picturesque island of Lokrum. The first thing you'll notice once you step onto the island is the abundance of wild rabbit and peacock that have inhabited it. The mix of wonderful plant life, along with the friendly wildlife, make it ideal for walks. There is also a varied... More
