We took a boat tour around the island which took about 45 minutes. The tour guide told us stories about the island, namely that the house that is there is cursed, and anyone who previously bought it died in mysterious circumstances, so now the house is left empty. There were people on the island who were swimming off the rocks,... More

We went to lokrum for an afternoon trip .You can get a boat from Dubrovnjk old town. We hired bike whilst on the island but you can walk round there is a couple of little places to eat on the island. You could take a picnic as there are lots of peacful places to stop and enjoy the views.

It's worth taking a boat from Dubrovnik and get to know a little of the Island. It's got some interesting beaches, and beautiful views. Just great for some walk and spending some peaceful moments...

my boyfriend and I took the boat out to this island on our last day in croatia and it was a lovely break from Dubrovnik. It was so peaceful. We took a walk around the island and found a few caves and places to jump in. It really was stunning and felt a world away from the crowds of Dubrovnik.

Absolutely adored this beautiful little oasis. We were told about it by a waiter in Dubrovnik and although a bit reluctant at first, I am forever glad we went! It is just a short boat ride away (boats are quite frequent - in the summer at least) and when you arrive all sorts of wonders await. We spent our day... More

We stayed in Dubrovnik 4 nights and spent 2 of our afternoons on the lovely island. It is a very necessary break from the crush of the tour groups in the old town during the day. 15 mins by ferry from Dubrovnik old town, peacocks roam free in the lush grounds. Two cafes for lunch and beers, plenty of swimming... More

This is a great island and there are no motor vehicles allowed on it. My son and I visited the island on two separate days because it's so serene and lovely. The restaurants on the island are great too. The best part about the island is the FKK nudist beach. As a naturist, I support any FKK strand and I... More

It is just a quick trip across to Lokrum from the harbour in the old town. A lovely place to visit and a complete change from the town itself - go for a long walk around the island, say hello to the fairly tame peacocks and rabbits, and maybe swim from the rocks if you're feeling brave...

Lovely green oasis just a short boat ride from the busy Old City center. Plenty of walks, rocks to swim from and a great bar with someone gently playing a guitar in the corner. Botanical garden with rabbits and peaqcocks. LOVED IT!!!
