The price of the boat is not much and most definitely worth it. There are breathtaking views as you go across the sea to the island and this does not lessen as you land on Lokrum. Never before been greeted by three wild peacocks but they are all over the island. Amazing views everywhere, lots of places to go and... More

The ferry was just as advertised. Be ready for some pleasant strolling and some rough hiking, some of the trails are "paved" with large stones, hard on the feet. There are a couple of places to get food/drink, and the restaurant closest to the ferry dock had a wonderful guitarist.

Wow this is such a gorgeous island - for a small fee from the man in the harbour (think about £5) you get taken to the island and then catch one of the boats coming back (every 30 mins). I do not like water at all but the boats and clean and well maintained and water is lovely and clear.... More

Absolutely adored this beautiful little oasis. We were told about it by a waiter in Dubrovnik and although a bit reluctant at first, I am forever glad we went! It is just a short boat ride away (boats are quite frequent - in the summer at least) and when you arrive all sorts of wonders await. We spent our day... More

Short boat trip from Old Port. Well marked paths to different places of interest. Several places to buy food and drink. Walk to Fort Imperial quite demanding particularly as part of the path not repaired from the destruction in the Homeland War. interesting botanical gardens. Good places to sunbathe and swim.

This is a beautiful and well maintained island a short ferry ride from Dubrovnik. Its history is unparalleled, its gardens once again thriving (bombed during the war of 1991-92) and the fort at the top of the island worth the hike (the view is wonderful). And, before leaving, enjoy a lunch and some great wine (and the guitar soloist) at... More

My wife and I spent a good half day on Lokrum Island and really enjoyed it. This place is beautiful, perfect for swimmers and walkers but certainly not for the faint hearted (lots of uphill walking)

Nice wee trip in the boat across, a good few hours worth of rambling around the forest and up to the fort and then a couple of cocktails before heading back to the Old Town on the boat. Lovely views and a great inexpensive way to spend the afternoon!

Lokrum is only a fifteen minute journey by ferry from Dubrovnik. On arrival you will be greeted by some pretty peacocks which you will see all over the island. The island is a lot bigger than it looks when you land on it, if you can get a pocket map before you arrive then that would help as there are... More

We followed a trip up cable car and walk down by trip to this island. We have been before but it is such a favourite. Short trip out on tourist boat which is not that expensive considering most cost goes towards entrance fee. Now we know where we are going we headed towards the lovely secluded bay which is like...
