Great place to probably spend a whole day relaxing, walking around the sites and amongst the wildlife. Little areas along the island coastline where coves to paddle and swim amongst the fish, as well as massive rocky areas for sunbathing.

It's a great escape from the very busy Dubrovnik and old town. Boat takes 10 minutes. There's some great places to go for a swim. In the middle of the island is a very nice restaurant which serves great food. Make it a half day trip.

Just a 15 minute boat ride to this stunning island and so worth it. Not at all tacky or commercial with a few well placed restaurants, bars, pools to swim in, lots of sunbathing spots, gardens..... I could go on and on! Oh and the baby peacocks were just darling!!!!!

A very versatile island! First walked to the fort on top of the island (is actually a bit of a challenge, so make sure to bring enough water). Many nice spots for just relaxing and for swimming. The water is absolutley amazing. The Dead see cave is worth a visit. Restaurants and bars pop up at the right places. Good... More

Lovely little island, easy to get to as boat every 30 mins. Its an easy walk to the swimming lake but remember to take some cheap reef shoes (you can buy them on the island). Nice bar nearby and lovely old monastery building

The island is beautiful to walk. Forested, quiet, and great rocky beaches But what would cause me to visit regularly given the chance is a dish we had at the Lacroma restaurant: RASPBERRY PIE with Lemon sorbet on the side. I know. Who'd have guessed? It's a unique, remarkable treat. The gazpacho with cucumbers and baby prawns was also superb

It's a quick 15 minute boat ride to the island. You can easily walk to the top of the lookout and explore the beach areas within an hour or so. Or you can stay longer. If you're time is limited in Dubrovnik, then you can skip the island and not regret it. But if you're there for 2 or more... More

A short trip takes from the beautiful but at times overcrowded and hot Dubrovnik to this beautiful island where you can rest under the pine trees, swim the the gorgeous turquoise see, snorkel , visit the monastery or simply enjoy a cold beer or fruit smoothie whilst watching the peacocks strutting about.

This was my favorite day of our whole trip! Lokrum is so easy to get to - take a 15 minute ferry from Old Town and you're there! The island is incredible - peacocks and bunny rabbits wandering around the whole island. Swimming in the salt water lake there was very fun (cliff jumping as well if you are up... More

Easy access from the city centre and it is truly a natural reserve. The first thing I was greeted by where peacocks. They are not scared by people and allowed for picture. There is one bar/cafe near the pier, but I would recommend packing food and drinks. There are areas to swim but like most Croatian beaches, it is mainly... More
