Must visit

The little island just near to Dubrovnik, you must visit. Very nice nature, all sorts of beautifull plants, lot of paths for pleasant walking, and also nice stone-beaches.

During the day in Dubrovnik we went ashore and the ship’s tender deposited us in the old harbour from where a local company operates a ferry to Lokrum Island. Our ship was actually at anchor close to the mid-point between Dubrovnik and Lokrum. We were able to pay by credit card on the quayside and board an already well-filled ferry,... More

Lokrum is easily reached by a regular ferry from Dubrovnik port. As soon as you arrive you can break away from the crowd and find your own route. Lots to explore. GoT fans.

would have loved to go for a dip in the lagoon if it had been a bit warmer, the peacocks are everywhere, well worth the trip, some lovely rocky 'beaches' if you can call them that

Our last day in Dubrovnik and we decided to take a trip to the Island of Lokrum! We left in the morning and returned late afternoon. First thing we did was walk around and explored the old monastery (where some of Game of Thrones was filmed)! We then headed to find a spot to sunbathe. We found some lounge chairs... More

If you want to get away a bit from the crowded Dubrovnik streets, but still not travel far away, this is the perfect place to go to. The nature is beautiful and there is even a small lake on the island. It has regular rocky beaches, you can cliff dive, play football, visit the monastery and the fortress and there... More

The walk to the fort nay be a challenge for those with a disability but the island had shady grassy areas, small rocky beach areas and a cafe bar to relax

We caught a ferry over to the island from the harbour in Dubrovnik which leaves every hour or so. This island has a real sense of adventure to it , you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and you kind of are ! Take a photo of the map so that you have some sense of direction... More
