We got there kind of early and were surprised by the lack of people. That didn't last for long though, since small boats are coming with loads and loads of passengers from the cruising ships outside the city. Half the deck chairs were reserved for people from the cruises. In the afternoon the beach was crowded and you could barely... More

We spent the afternoon here. It was quite a long walk from Dubrovnik Old Town. We took the higher road which was our mistake as it added 15 mins to our walk. Even so, it was worth every step. There are lots of steps down to the beach. It was less busy than Banje beach and much more classy. There's... More

This was one of our favourite beaches during our holiday to Dubrovnik. We took the wrong route when we first attempted to walk here however. When the road forks near the 'Grand Villa Argentina' after walking out of Old Town, make sure to go right (the lower road). For some reason we went left and ended up far above the... More

Went to escape the crowds on Buja beach, it's definitely worth the half hour walk! The beach may be down 160 odd steps but it well worth it. The beach was quiet, with reasonably priced sunbeds and parasols (90 kn for 2 beds and a parasol). The main thing - it's peaceful and relatively quiet. There is also a really... More

The beach is a nice 30 min walk from the old town, which was totally ok for us. You can apparently also take the bus number 5 there. It's located behind the old church, and YES, there are stairs, like EVERYWHERE in Dubrovnik. If you can't handle stairs, don't come here, period. The beach itself was stony, pebbly and hard... More

This was our main beach during our visit. Beach and water/bottom was clean. During peak hours the beach got very crowded since it is very small beach. The restaurant had very nice view and good food. If you want to do snorkeling you have to go right by the cliff by the boats and beyond the safety line protecting swimmers... More

I enjoyed the walk and the steps, though if you've got kids this could be an issue. The views were the best thing about the beach. Water was crystal clear as you would expect and the stones whilst rounded so not sharp did make the entry to the water rather comical with the loss of footing. The beach has a... More

Nice relaxing beach that was worth the trek. Sun loungers were easy to get and reasonably priced. It is crowded but most beaches are in this part of the world. If you get unlucky with the people around you just move,we did. The staff on the beach are jaded and worn out but efficient. The barman at the beach bar... More

We enjoyed the beach here. The atmosphere was far more relaxed than posey EastWest and it was much cheaper too. There is a bar and restaurant and you can hire loungers and umbrellas. The beach is stoney and the water is clean and clear. It's a fairly small beach by general standards. But for Dubrovnik it's actually quite spacious. We... More
