The Banje beach is close to the harbour of the city and small so it will get busy. Half of it is Beach Club so expect to pay top whack for drinks, beds and facilities - they charge for everything - their showers, toilets the lot! We decided against that! The beach was a bit grubby by 1st November when we... More

Sunbeds are a little pricey but the beach is clean, the sea is crystal clear and the view is gorgeous.

The location of this place is spot on but I'm afraid the attitude of the majority of the staff is plain indifference or general rudeness. After paying 200 kuna for a beach bed we were generally ignored. Yuri, the beach boy in charge of all things lounge and shade, was asked 5 times for an umbrella but just kept saying,... More

We, a group of 3 were on my way round from Split to Montenegro and stopped off in Dubrovnik for 3 days. One of the days was spent on east west beach. It was very hot day and service was quite slow which could do with speeding up but saying that, there was only 2 waiters (who were also hot!!)... More

The only redeeming factor about this beach is its location. It has stunning views of the city walls. My praise ends here. The loungers are the most expensive I've ever come across (€26 for 2 squashed together loungers on a dirty beach!!). The staff (and please note, this beach club doubles as one of the most expensive bars in town)... More

The title says it all. I mean...if i spent 200 euros on 2 cubas, some cevapcici and beer, let me piss for free, no, we had to pay the latrin kunas. The waiter was nice, no argue on him. There was no music, no dj, no nothing. It was sortof lame. Only the beach beds and the baldachin stood out,... More

Banje Beach is the main Beach in Dubrovnik, unfortunately half the beach is a VIP area that charge frankly ridiculous prices for sunbeds and chairs, leaving only half the beach available to mere mortals, The beach is pebbles so you need beach shoes and the sea is lovely, there are plenty of little beaches around, Lokrum is a nice alternative... My partner and I spent the last 4 days of our road trip in Dubrovnik and I'm quite shocked to read such bad reviews though each to their own of course. The staff I came across throughout my time was superb and was helpful in everyway. Most couldn't speak a structured command of English however that is to be expected... More

This is Dubrovnik's main beach, and it's often crowded. If you don't get there early in the morning, the water gets dirty during the day (debris from the bottom, tree leaves, pinecones and sometimes garbage). There are some fancy looking beach bars along the beach, that looked too pretentious and expensive, so we didn't go here. It is possible to... More

We were staying in Dubrovnik and wanted a few hours on Banje beach (PS Sveti Jakov nicer but 30 mins walk). We decided to pay for loungers on East-West's bit of private beach so we could be comfortable and have some umbrella shade. When we approached the two male staff on the desk, one of them said (without preamble) "You,... More
