Crazy crowded in the season.

The beach closest to the Old Town and the one on most of the promo photos of Dubrovnik. Has great views of the City Walls both from the beach and from the sea when swimming. It is quite small with limited space. Most tourists unfortunately flock to it and it gets extremely crowded to the point a being unable to... More

The beach was right below our apartment and so we took the opportunity for an early morning dip which was lovely and very refreshing. The seas is clean, blue and a beautiful temperature but the beach was a bit of a let down as it was strewn with broken bar chairs and rubbish. Needs a clean up!

Firstly, we're Irish, and accustomed to miles of golden sand, if only we had the sunshine. Croatia has few beaches, and this is one of the three around Dubrovnik. Like that at Cavtat, it is painfully pebbly and small. Here, though, a sunbed is £10! The beach bar is equally expensive, and you get to listen to their intrusively loud... More

Was lovely, sunbed drinks service with great cocktails. The beach is only small put if you want some space paying for a sunbed is essential.

This is a nice beach to go on, nice views and there is a bar/restaurant/club attached to the beach. This is a nice beach to go to

I was really not impressed. The beach was super crowded and dirty. The price of the sun bed was ridiculous. Really over rated.

We had a couple of hours to kill and thought we'd take another dip in the sea. Yes another trip to Lokrum would have been better, but this was close to our lodging and certainly worked for us. We did not spend anything on a beach bed or services- we just plopped our towels down and jumped in the water.... More

Perfect location to enjoy views to the old city. As for tanning - the coast line is far from perfect - pebbles, bigger than usual, expensive sun beds and umbrellas, while hard not to use one to be on the beach.

We paid 300 Kuna for a bed on the beach ..just to receive an old bed which was not cared for and a but dirty. It is a very expensive beach with nothing special except t's near the Old city.

Walking down the steps we encountered empty bottles, cans and other rubbish. As we reached the beach we encountered more rubbish including a broken sun lounger. There is no sand, it is shingle. It piles up at the water line so it is very hard to walk on, your feet sink into it. It is not comfortable to walk on... More
