If you walk outside of the city walls and head south (past the grocery store and news stands) you'll run into the entrance to Banje Beach. It's small but very beautiful and there's a restaurant / bar nearby.

Don't need to pat for a sunbed. Grab yoour towel and enjoy the sun in the area next to the club. The water is hreat and cold. Excellent for the hot days.

It was simply too hot to stay in town so we headed outside the city walls. The beach was very good for smaller kids. The beds at the restaurant was quite expensive at 100 kuna.

The water is beautiful but then again so is all the water around Dubrovnic. It cost 100 kuna (14 euro) for a bed. And the guys selling the beds are very rude. Also a man who takes care of the toilets was horrible. He wanted money. I politely told him i was going to the bar after using the toilet..."I... More

Banje beach is gorgeous. The water is crystal clear, clean and family friendly. My one criticism is that when you enter the beach, you have the option to buy seats that'll make your stay a little more comfortable. The seats are great, but incredibly expensive. Unless you're staying on the beach for 12 hours or so, I don't see how... More

If you are in Dubrovnik more than a few days you want to spend a few hours on the beach. Just keep walking past the Old Port. The beach is rock, not sand so bring water shoes or buy them when you get here.

This was a total disappointment . Maybe if I had never seen Croatia's spectacularly pristine and sparkling pebble beaches before, this would be ok. But there are two areas, an overpriced snotty place that wanted to charge me 200 kunas for a sun bed and umbrella, or the public beach with dirty sand filled with cigarette butts. The sand is... Just outside the old city ...popular beach with stone, pebble and shingles not sandy Serviced by a bar area which is a little pricey and blaring music but overall a good place to hang out if you enjoy that

We're staying in Dubrovnik for 5 days and loving it but it's punishingly hot so after sightseeing we wanted somewhere to cool down and we aren't staying somewhere with a pool. After reading the reviews we nearly didn't venture down to Banje Beach as it sounded such a slum. A bit of context - we're a family from London with... More

The beach has two areas - a public beach and an area where you can hire sun loungers or covered beds by the day. For 300 kuna you can hire one of these lounger which have ripped mattresses, the curtains or sun covers don't close and everything around you (cigarette butts and trash) are never cleaned. They have a captive... More
