A quick taxi ride from the cruise ship (10 euro each taxi) takes you to the old city. Its an old medival city by the sea. Reminds me a lot of Mdina Malta.Scenes for Game of Thrones were shot there. Its nice for a walk around and maybe some tourist shopping. Beer was very expensive though!!

We booked our day trip to Mostar with Lea Travel because of their friendly customer service rep, Lucia, two days beforehand. We were very excited for the trip and as far as we were concerned we were 100% going. We paid a €20 euro deposit in good will as we got told the minimum was €5. There are at least... More

What a lovely place, harbour with magnificent views, 15 mins bus ride to the old town, which is surrounded by a wall which you can walk around at a fee, which we thought was dear, so we stayed within the walls and walked around the grounds, where you find shops, plenty of restuarants, plenty of steps to walk up and... We took a wonderful day trip up to Mostar, via Medjugorje, in a mini-bus. We were collected from our hotel (Lapad) - it was a longish journey, as the coastline is full of twists and turns, although this does mean it is very pretty. Also, because of the shape of Croatia and Bosnia/Herzegovena, we passed back and forth across the... More

During our recent stay in the fabulous Croatian city of Dubrovnik, we decided to book a full day excursion, and venture a little further afield. We called into the local office of Laus Travel, where we met Tetjana. Tetjana was absolutely charming, patient, pleasant, and helpful, and went to great lengths to find which trip most suited our needs, she... More

What a beautiful city! Well worth a visit and we just regret that as we were visitors via a cruise, our stay was all too brief! It is truly beautiful with amazing views at every turn. The streets are lovely and the city is very clean. There are numerous good value restaurants and cafés throughout. The cathedral is well worth... More

The Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many buildings of historical and cultural importance are packed into its 240 acres. Like many other European cities Dubrovnik offers discount cards for tourists. We chose the 7-day card on sale at many hotels and tourist centres at 150 kune (about £16). One card buys you 20 bus rides... More

Buyer beware We took a three island tour day trip on recommendation from the Uvala Hotel Dubrovnik. They have a partner they work with. The "welcome" was an abrupt "pay" no smile, no greetin, we felt like cattle We paid 250 local currency (it's not a lot but is the going rate) The same trip can be booked via local... More

The Dubrovnik Card is only worthwhile if: (1) you need to use the bus (2) you have older child/children under 12 years old (3) you want to visit the City Wall (100 kunas - about £10/person) AND at least one of the other 7 attractions listed (Maritime Museum, Rector's Palace, etc). If you're staying within walking distance of the Old... More

Great three island cruise with LEA travel. At 200 Kunas it is the best value three island all day cruise available from Dubrovnik. You get picked up from a local hotel by minibus and taken to the boat at Gruz Port, opposite the Hotel Lapad. The boat Cuci is not the most luxurious but it is a good size. I... More
