A DAY WITH PRIVATE GUIDE IN DUBROVNIK Half day – 4 hours; relaxing , experiencing the local culture This tour includes drive up to the panoramic view point above the town from where you can admire the gorgeous view of the whole area, and a walk through the historical part of the town, historical introduction and talk about every day's life. After this basic part, tour is adjusted to our clients – we recommend places we can visit and things we can do, and you decide how the rest of your tour will look like! Here are some of the possibilities: Walk of the City Walls, visit of the Franciscan Monastery with the pharmacy from 1317, or Dominican Monastery with the collection of paintings. For clients who are more interested in religion – Dubrovnik is a place where four different religions have lived together in peace for a long period; we can visit catholic Cathedral, Orthodox Church, Synagogue and Mosque and tell you more about their history, religious differences and coexistence... Farmer's market, traditional arts and crafts, coffee in the bar on the rocks overlooking the Adriatic... Restaurant's recommendations are provided as well! HIKE THROUGH THE HISTORY Half day – 4 hours; active & educational Mount Srdj is located just above the Old Town of Dubrovnik, and can be reached by a serpentine shaped hiking trail which starts on the main road and takes you to the Imperial fortress, built by Napoleon in the 19th century. This fortress played a very important role in the war that took place here 20 years ago, and because of that today it hosts the War Museum. We will visit the museum and give a detailed explanation about the recent Balkan history and terrible wars in ex Yugoslavia. CITY TOUR & LOKRUM ISLAND Half day – 6 hours ; informative but relaxing, for nature lovers.. Would you like to find out more about Dubrovnik, see all popular attractions of the Old Toan and than to escape in the untouched nature, away from the crowds? Walk through the forest or maybe swim in the Adriatic...all this is possible only 10 minutes by boat away from Dubrovnik's Old Town – on beautiful Lokrum island, uninhabited, completely covered by pine trees. We can hike to the Fort Royal on the top of the island, visit a small botanical garden and old Benedictine monastery..and relax by the sea....
