The Mount Srdj Ropeway was a beautiful hike. The path is quite rocky, and you really have to watch your footing, but the hike is not incredibly steep given the switchback's. There is a sense of accomplishment as when you view the peak from the base of old town, it appears daunting. At the top the view of the old... More

Fantastic views... Skip the restaurant, unless you come just for the view. Definitely a must do while in town!

Spent a good week in Dubrovnik area, and really enjoyed it, but especially an evening trip up Mt Srdj via the cable car! Great to see sunset over the islands. The terminus includes restuarants (indoor & outdoors), toilets, viewing terraces on three levels. But be sure to head west (turn left) past the old fort for best views of sunset!!

The start of the path is hard to find and the surface is very rocky, but the views are great on the way up - on a hot day a large beer at the top was reward for the climb - it took about 40 minutes going up, 20 minutes going down - but a slower pace would probably be... More

We also walked up and down Mount Srdj rather than taking the cable car. First of all, keep in mind that the starting point of the trail is very hard to find. It's very close to the major crossroad on the highway. The path is really rocky most of the way, so you will need proper shoes. If you are... More

I'm sure one day this will be a proper path, but for now you need good shoes, and take your time, it would be easy to twist an ankle here. Amazing views on the way up or down. We took the cable car up and walked down, well worth doing.

We walked up and down Mount Srdj rather than taking the cable car. It is not that far but the trail is not in ideal condition with some large loose rock on much of it. Finding it is not trivial either. There is no signage and you must risk your life getting across a major roadway. Obviously the city doesn't... More

First thing's first, it was HOT. My friends and I walked up and down the track towards the middle of June in the morning. After the first five minutes, the path begins to zigzag up the side of the mountain and there is absolutely no shade cover what so ever. Sunscreen, water and a hat are recommended! It took us... I agree with other reviewers that the best way to go is up the cable car and then down the mountain walkway. The views were stunning all the way down practically since there is nothing other than rocks and grass covering most of the mountain so there are no trees to obscure your view. The start of the trail at... More
