The cable car is well signposted from Ploce Gate (but is up a slight hill and then about 50 steps) and there may be a queue to board (buy your 100 kuna return ticket whilst in the queue) but the whole experience is well worth the effort. The ride is smooth (just a slight sway at the top end on... More

Quick and easy cable car, and there are several things on the mountain to make it worth your while: the Napoleonic Fort itself, complete with war damage; the war exhibition; and a café to have a beer in while overlooking really spectacular views of the city and islands.

Smooth cable car ride and good value for money (around £12 return). Fantastic view of Dubrovnik at the top and a great restaurant there serving delicious cocktails. Slightly windy when we went.

The cable car was rushed by the people who knew that the photo ops would be first come first serve. Then after they took their photos, they didn't even bother to move to let others take their pics. If you ride the car, push your way to the front or you may not get a view. Once at the top... More

Take the swift cable car up to the top, very smooth and looks brand new. Once at the top you are afforded glorious views of the old town and surrounding islands. We visited the exhibition in the Napoleonic Fort which was very informative about the war.

Worth the trip for the view. Had coffee at the top. If you are properly prepared there are walks across the top of the mountain. The visit to the Homeland War museum in the fortress is a must. It's not well signed, so do ask directions

The ticket costs 100 Kuni which is equivalent to 15 EUR and it takes you to the top for 2-3 minutes. If you have a car it is better to take the road to go up. A walk is an alternative if you can spend couple of hours. From the top you can see the whole city and its' surroundings... More

It's a fairly short and smooth ride up to the top of Srd Hill. I despise heights as a rule but didn't have trouble with this ride as it was a calm day and there was very little swaying movement of the cable car. The views from the top are pretty spectacular, especially when you get away from the terminal... More

Queues can be long, get there early in the day to get straight on. Nice ride to the top, spectacular views and excellent walks round the top Well worth spending a fine afternoon, wouldn't recommend it in the rain
