The cable car is a must. One of us was a bit nervous about cable cars but this one feels secure and safe. In any event, the view was worth it-a truly spectacular 360 degree view from the snow capped mountains of Bosnia to the city itself 1200 feet below. The restaurant was surprisingly reasonable and had we not eaten... More

You can see the old town from the top. The cable car was about 108 kuna return. It was good but a bit fast and you just stand in the cable car with lots of others. It takes about 3 -4 minutes to the top. Great views at the top. Get a drink in the restaurant like we did as... More

If you want to see the city from high that is the place that you must go. The value of the the ticket is 15 Euro. For me the best time to visit it, is in the afternoon with the sunshine.

We took the cable car one way (60 kuna) and walked back down to the old town. The views are magnificent. Well worth a visit is the museum in the old fort built during Napoleon's occupation (30 kuna). Allow over an hour for the walk down.

Arriving in Dubrovnik at night,I missed the classic vantage view of the city on that airport road..the cable car view was ample compensation...there is a lovely open air restaurant at the top and it has great views of the old city

Comments about the price being expensive for such a short ride may be right, but the view at the top is really awesome. It was our last day in Dubrovnik and we could not think of anything else to do. We were glad we did it. The views from the terraces were fantastic and very relaxing.

Queuing for an hour, followed by six minutes in the cable car, I thought I would feel as if I had been short-changed. However, the views over both the old and new town on the ascent gave a wonderful viewpoint, and the top station provided superb vistas over the towns and sea. There is a garden at the station with... About 30 Euros for the four of us to go to the top. Informative Homeland War exhibition at the top with English translation and only a few Euros extra. Walk to the cross for views without cable wires. Great view of all islands and mountain range

I love cable cars but all too often the view isn't worth the ride but that's not the case in Dubrovnik. On a sunny day you can see for many miles and the little walled city lying beneath you is fascinating. There's a restaurant for an over-priced beer or snack but it's worth it just to see the views.
