it's the hot point of visiting Split. just like on postcard, impressive, you can see everything from the distance what you need to see when you're in Split.

My husband and I enjoyed our time on the Riva Harbour. While we were there ewe made an effort to see it early morning daytime & evening. This is a busy harbour with ferries, cruise ships, working boat and coastal cruisers coming and going all the time. Walk from one end to the other, spend some time in one of the cafes on the east side and watch the locals and tourists as they work and sightsee.

Choose one of the stone seats, and enjoy the amazing landscape, the white of the marble, the fantastic blue sea, the cruise ships, the palace. If you like beer, ask for an iced Karlovacka, or instead, try the famous croatian ice cream.

A brilliant place to hang out either at the many cafes and restaurants or on the harbour wall. You'll probably end up here a lot!

Relaxed place to walk and ebjoy the views of the islands seaward, or of the Marjan peninsular to the west or the cityscape of old Split. A wealth of cafes, stalls, bars and restaurants in which to relax and engage with the locals.

very peaceful walk along the harbor. a good number of restaurants along the way along with some gelato/ice cream stands. Good glimses of amazing boats/yachts that you can only dream of owning. Not much shade and if you are walking during the day it can get blazing hot. Also very beautiful at night with the all the lights...

We are far from resort, beach combing, sea side kind of people but found this Riva to be extremely welcoming, relaxing, airy and beautiful. Perhaps because there were no roller blades, skate boards, joggers, magician or mimes, annoying poor musicians, throngs of souvenir shops... Yes there were some souvenir shops but the Riva is so wide and long enough that... More
