Nice square with many bars and small restaurants. In Gradska Kavana was nice gnocchi with salmon and shrimp.

Another wonderful trip from Split. Amazed to hear how the green grape vines were taken from this area to the Napa Valley in California. They now have an established relationship between them. Also the story about the fertility powers the Island has for people who have been trying to have a family. It has been studied and no explanation has... More

For fresh fruit and veg this is the place. Broad selection of fresh produce. Located near the railway on the corner of obala hrvatskog narodnog preporoda Riva and Zagrebacka. Trades into the evenings when it's cooler.

We were walking toward the other sites but crossed through here. This is a pleasant market with a variety of vendors for fruit, vegetables, honey, figs, olive oils, and other goods which you can eat directly there or take back with you. I don't really care for figs but there were a lot of vendors with about equal prices so... More

Average sized market with a nice variety of flowers, fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, bread, cheese, meat and of course souvenirs. It’s nice to just stroll among the stalls and take-in the pleasant atmosphere and busy activity from all people. Perfect if you want to buy something for a light lunch or a picnic.

We always like to visit the local markets to see the different produce available wherever we visit. This is also a good place to pick up some fresh fruit and snacks.

It is a very busy place but in my opinion surely worth it because you can buy your groceries side by side with the locals. I would go there to buy some figs!

very cute place, little square, connecting Riva with palace, there is located one statue of father of Croatian literature, Marko Marulic. Very stylish with contrast from urban Riva and ancient palace.

This place is so wonderful - so much wonderful fruit, veggies, and all the other foods that you can think of. They have bakeries that sell the most delicious breads and treats. A great place to stop and pick up what you need for a picnic on the beach or just a snack in your room. Lots of other shops... More
