This square is standing just outside the walls of Diocletian Palace, at the beginning of Riva Harbor promenade. This is an open local market with fruits, vegetables and also may flower stalls. Quite a picturesque place to see to mingle with local people away from the tourist crowd!

The smell of the fresh produce, chicken cooking, fresh bread, the most enormous flavour able peaches, market stalls - today all of this is fantasy, except in these markets. We always purchase our flowers here

Walk around Split and you can not miss this square. Very nice and worthwhile a visit. It is one of the nicest squares in Split.

On our way back from Marjan (which I also highly recommend) we stopped at what appeared to be a couple of stands near Diocletian's Palace. Once we got closer we found a full fruit/veggie market and it was amazing. We always look for farmer's markets and the like when we travel and this was such an awesome find.

Trg braće Radić is a medieval square, with a beautiful medieval tower, the Palace Milesi and the statue of the Croatian poet Marko Marulić (1450-1524).

Every city has one - a market where local produce and other things are sold. This is a bit different in that it large and semi permanent. Nothing terribly different and very repetitive stalls. Worth a stroll but he ruins next door are far more interesting

Nice square with many bars and small restaurants. In Gradska Kavana was nice gnocchi with salmon and shrimp.

Another wonderful trip from Split. Amazed to hear how the green grape vines were taken from this area to the Napa Valley in California. They now have an established relationship between them. Also the story about the fertility powers the Island has for people who have been trying to have a family. It has been studied and no explanation has... More
