It's a steep walk to the top but the views of Split make it worthwhile. It's also nice to escape the crowds. There isn't much to see on the way up but it may be better in the summer.

After a great late lunch in Konoba Marjan, we decided to stretch ourselves with a walk to the famous Split hill Marjan. It was nice and relaxing walk up to the peak, where you can enjoy attractive views over Split, closest islands (Brac, Hvar, Cievo) and mountains (Kozjak, Mosor).

Walked up to the cafe with an amazing view overlooking Split and decided to keep walking...Ended up walking around the whole thing, which is quite far! But well worth it. A beautiful hike and a beautiful way to spend an afternoon/evening. We hired bikes the next day and cycled around the bottom, also highly recommend walking or cycling this route... More

Marjan has many entry points, but one of the best, if you're not afraid of a good hike, is the entry point via Sperun alley near the port and up 'Senjska', which is a very think road which will take you up the hill to the Old Jewish Cemetery and a small restaurant. Follow the path and you will enjoy... More

For a nice, quiet walk away from the crowds. A nice restaurant, where you can rest and sit and let the world go by.

We did this walk before lunch to build up an appetite, you can make the walk as long or as short as you like as there are short cuts through the forest areas. There are a few steps to start with and once you have done the steps you reach the first viewing sport and a little cafe where you... More

Great way to walk off lunch by taking hundreds of stairs. Would have been a 5 if there was a cafe at the top. Great views of the city and bay.

We visited Marjan on Sunday early May. The weather was amazing and when we reached the park/Zoo stage there were lots of people and music, games etc. there was a water point here to fill up bottles and two portaloo toilets. We carried onto the next stage and have to say the views etc are wonderful. The downside to Marjan... More
