My husband and I rented a bike for $12CAD per person (4hours) with a lock and helmet and biked around the Riva and the Marjan Park. As you bike to the top, you have a great view of the beaches. Breathtaking. On top is a large white cross, a flag and an amazing view of Split. Words can't describe how... More

If you're visiting Split take the time to have a wonder around the 'lungs of the city' at Marjan. It's peaceful and easily traversable with paths and routes through the thick trees. If you walk to far side and follow the road down you'll see a beautiful beach cove, Kajumi cove, which is well worth the extra 30mins walk to... More

There are plenty of steps to get to the lookout but it is very worthwhile and the bonus is a bar/café at the top so you can replenish after your amazing climb.

Astonishing view of the old part of Split, must get there. You also get the chance to see some open sea in the background while you have nice green Adriatic plants in the foreground and birds singing from everywhere.

Decent views of Split, what makes it worth visiting is the quiet and serene atmosphere which is quite different from the busy Riva and Diocletian's Palace.

Took a walk up the hill as a break from the crowds around Split and the Harbour. Enjoyed the views, trees, and some nice people we spoke to along the way, Had to stop a number of times to have a bit of a break and a drink of water (quite a few taps along the way). The views back... More

If your remotely unfit this will be a bit of a struggle! It's a great workout though. We climbed to the top and the views even from half way up are beautiful! Worth the visit.

In the world of chill time, I enjoyed exerting myself a bit for some fantastic views of Split. Stairs provide a safe and quick route to the top. For a different view on the way down, choose the rock path. If you are staying in Kastela, the cab fare is almost 50 dollars

Loved the old Jewish cemetery, relaxed with a cold drink in the cafe overlooking the city and the sea, good place to chill out!

The Marjan is simply stunning! We spent a lot of time exploring the whole peninsula, walking right to the top of the nature reserve area, to all the way around the end of the Marjan and back into Split. The west side has some stunning views and beautiful natural scenery, looking out onto the ocean and back towards the land,... More
