Nice and Quick Escape

Beautiful park that is a welcome reprieve from the tourist volume around the city, with a nice view of the city, sea, islands, and surrounding mountains.

Easy walk to the view point at the top of the street a bit further if you want to go to the top. There are seats and a cafe if you want to take a break. I continued walking for about 2 hours on the track on a wide track sealed road some of the time that carried on through... More

escape from the city, nice long walk, well marked. Wheter just take a drink at the first stop, or climbing to the top, you'll have another perspective of Split.

Marjan is a beautiful small hill, where you can go for a walk, do sports, have a nice swim in the clean sea, go to a restaurant, or just enjoy the beautiful views and smell the clean sea air. There are so many ways to enjoy on Marjan, and I definitely recommend to rent a bike and have a ride... More

A few hundred stairs and you're at the top looking back on Split and out over the islands. As others have said, it is worth it if you walk and a complete no-brainer if there is a bus/shuttle.

Good service and nice fresh fish. We selected the catch of the day and it was fine. The local wine was fresh and not expensive.

It's a steep climb to the top of the Marjan peninsula, but worth it for the views. The hike took a couple of hours at a leisurely pace, from Diocletian's Palace to the summit and back. From the Riva (seaside), walk past the Segway stand towards the church. To the right of the church, you will see signs for Marjan.... More

Great views from the top, worth the climb. Also enjoyed walking one side at coastal level and hopped on the bus back. End of peninsula was a bit disappointing as expected there to be something obvious and there wasn't.

...to relax, go swimming, rent a bike maybe, anything! it's peaceful, relaxing, beautiful. a lot of untouched nature but also space to maybe go for a run or ride a bike, or maybe read a book in the shade... anything

Most tourists only seem to walk up to the stone cross and accompanying viewing platform. The Marjan Hill has so much more to offer. There are lots of woodland paths and stunning views from different vantage points. At the end of this peninsula there's a delightful church and what used to be a hermitage. For the majority of my walk... More
