The lungs of the city are located west of the waterfront and the Palace and comprise an area of approximately 3.5 x 1.5 kilometers, or 347 acres. What is the significance of the peninsula of Split, and shows one of the city's nicknames, which reads "The city beneath Marjan ', the peninsula has its day - May 9. Marjan is... More

The place is huge! There seems to be many entrances, we visited so far two of them - one from nw side and the other from se side. Must do: hike uphill for extremely beautiful views of the sea and nearby islands. If you're coming from nw side, dont forget your bike or even better - rollers. I can 101%... More

This local park-forest is located a short walk out of Split town centre. It is the size of Central Park in New York! You can hire bikes at the park's entrance, and cycle through the forest. The views are breath taking, and on a sunny day you get an amazing view at the top, looking out to sea. Take a... More

One of the best views in town. As a cherry on the top, you can go off the trails and turn your trip into a small hike - that's how you can get to the best places for enjoying both the view and the silence.

The walk up the hill is well worthwhile and the view is great. The top of the hill has a nice forest area offering almost continuous views.

We rented bikes and road all around the area of Marjan. We found the most stunning beaches and so many beautiful spots. I was afraid I would wreck my bike from being distracted. Definitely worth checking out. If you bike rent a bike and explore!

As long as the weather is nice then is worth a fairly easy short stroll up to the top for some nice views of Split and the surrounding harbour and sea.

Marjan hill and woods will allow you a great walk and view on town. There used to be a zoo before, frankly I do not know if it works now as conditions were horrible. But on a way you can find other small gems along the path.
