Hvar island is beautiful, and big enough to offer something for everybody! We had a great time in Hvar town and on the north coast. The towns can easily be reached from Split by boat, but to explore the interior of Hvar, a car is helpful.

After arriving in Hvar from Split, there was an immediate comparison. The island was beautiful and full of wonderful things to see. Although small, there were many beaches in the area which filtered the tourist population. The island had a variety of shops and restaurants available with both high and low prices. Lovely, beautiful place with things to do for... More

this is how i imagine the cote d'azure in the 60ies. apart from the music in the night clubs, one might think that you have time travelled back in time to a beatiful place with wooden boats and stone villas

We were there June 2013 the weather was unseasonably cold and wet. Too bad as I got the feeling everyone comes here to enjoy the sun and sea....
