I did not want to leave!!! The water. The scenery. The people watching. EVERYTHING about Hvar is amazing. Highlight of my trip to Croatia by far.

LOVED most everything He cute like health food store, the climb to the fort with the charming young woman selling lavender products, (wear walking shoes up that hill) One adorable shop after another. I only wish my wallet had not been stolen in Split (KEEP YOUR BAG CLOSED AND StAY OUT OF THE PAlACE CENTRAL WHEN IT IS CROWDED)

its beautiful but if you are not the type that will sit all day on the beach or in cafe then a day tour is enough. both hvar and stari grad are beautiful. look for the small roads and don't hesitate to drive into tiny villages on the mountain side.

Great place with lots to do. Fantastic for youngsters, lots of night life. We only visited for a few hours, would have loved to visit the fort on the hill but only noticed it an hour before we were ment to leave.

Vrboska was simply a wonderful experience. So quiet and peaceful. We would have no hesitation in returning.

Even though the boat was packed on the way over and back ( and we went in September!) this gem of a city is worth a day trip to wander around, swim if you'd like and take in the picturesque view of the harbor from the rooftop cafe at the Hotel Adriana. The architecture of the old town with its... More

While travelling to Croatia, two things we wanted to do from the city of Split was visit the island of Hvar whilst also seeing the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn Beach) on the island of Brac. Tourism advice at the time suggested doing one or the other as we found ourselves in the shoulder season (September) and there wasn’t the... More

During our Seabourn cruise, we took a trip to the beautiful island of Hvar. We had a wonderful tour guide from Split, Croatia named Arijana, and she made the tour of the island so wonderful. Hvar Island has great restaurants and is great town to explore. If you have a chance, going swimming on one of the remote islands around... More

Wish I had spent more time! We got to tour around most of Hvar town but it seemed like there was so much more to see. There are many little towns, boat tours, vineyards--lots of activities! Highly recommend and would love to go back. Very warm and quite crowded, make sure to make dinner reservations in advance if you're trying... More
