The lakes tour was absolutely gorgeous - was absolutely worth the 3 hour bus ride and early wake up time for crystal clear blue waters and stunning waterfalls. There are picture opportunities at every corner and you want to just hold your eyes open so you don’t miss a sight. Late September on a kind of rainy day was perfect - the sun was out for our walk through the park but it was too crowded. The restaurant we stopped at afterwards was cheap and delicious and feels like a real local haunt. Elena was an engaging and knowledgeable guide, shepherding our group through the park with jokes and pointers, and Dado was a skilled driver (navigating our bus through some torrential downpours on the highway). Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone staying in Split - Plitvice is not to be missed.

I had the pleasure of going to Krka and Plitvice with Ante as the driver and Elena as the tour guide. Ante was an excellent driver who was fun to be around and always ran on schedule. He was very warm and kind and the Mercedes Sprinter van that was used was in excellent condition and very comfortable. Ante also went above and beyond and picked me and my Buddy up from the hotel and event went inside to check on us and allowed us to finish our breakfast - what a great guy!
Elena was an excellent tour guide who was a perfect combination of knowledgeable, funny, sweet and kind. She took care of the group and always asked our opinions in order to decide the best itinerary for the group. She also went above and beyond by speaking about Croatia’s rich history (both ancient and modern) and gave several great recommendations of things to do and places to go. Her English was excellent and I give her a bonus for being able to talk about common subjects such as pop culture and TV shows. She’s also a fan of the TV show Oz and Golden Girls - a strange combination that I very much appreciate. She’s an unforgettable person who also plays basketball and jokingly refers to herself as a giant (she’s 6’2” or 1.88 m). In short (no pun intended) Elena kicks major butt!

Plitvice lakes is a must visit place when you are in Croatia! You will be amazed by the colour of water and how beautiful is the lake. Elena was a good tour guide. Explained everything about the lakes and also a bit of Croatian history. Dodo was a good driver, drove us safe to the park. October is a very good month to go, lake was not crowded and there were different colours of leaves. I’ve heard that you have to wait in queues to see the biggest waterfall and get the boat/train in Summer months. It wasn’t the case when I went today.

I went on a day trip to Plitvice Lake with my 60 year old mom from Split and it was amazing! The drive is about 3~ hours long from Split so you arrive around 10:30am. We spent 4 hours walking around the lakes at a very slow and steady pace so this “hike” is very doable for all ages. We then stopped by a delicious local restaurant called Vila Velebita (highly recommend trying the Rolled ćevapčići and pumpkin oil w/bread). Our tour guide Elena was super knowledgeable and funny and I highly recommend going with her as your guide. Super pleased with our driver Ante as well who was friendly and got us to each destination safely and right on schedule!

This was a fabulous tour! The bus was very comfortable and clean. Dado was an excellent driver so the bus rides were quick and smooth—we were even able to take a few naps in between stops. :)
Our guide Elena was extremely friendly and warm. She gave clear instructions about where we were going, how long we would be there, and where/when to meet after each activity. She gave us an honest and great recommendation for lunch. Her commentary during the bus rides was informative and interesting- not too much and not too little
The itinerary was very well-timed and we had the perfect amount of time at each stop. I wouldn’t change a thing!! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day.

The Plitvice Lakes were gorgeous and joining Sugama Tours with Elena (guide) and Ante (driver) were the best choice made for this trip. Elena is so knowledgable with all the history facts of Croatia / little towns passed by and showing the best photo stops at the park. The journey to and fro was smooth and the restaurant for lunch was top notched. Would 100% recommend for anyone to take up the tour!

This trip could have been better. The young skippers provided very little information and nothing but a fast boat. Someone should have warned guests to bring water shoes and windbreakers (which were mentioned as being provided in the ad) and their own water— which should have been provided automaticaly. Trogir without some history and a guide isn’t very interesting.

Such a great way to spend your day! Elena is an incredible tour guide. She does a great job explaining the itinerary down to the bathroom breaks and food recommendations. It is about a three hour walk so wear layers and comfortable shoes. The views are amazing and you go at a perfect pace to take photos. Majority of it is walking downhill so it is quite easy. Elena gave great facts and made it fun. She also ended the trip with giving advice for other local things to try out during your stay. Dado was our driver—he was so kind and great at handling the roads. Never once felt car sick.

Went on a day trip to Plitvice Lakes with Eleena (our guide) she was very informative and engaging, she knows all the picture perfect spots and knew the park at the back of her hands. Managed to take one of the longer hiking trail and with her guidance, we also skipped all the queues and missed all the crowds. The route from Split to Plitvice was 3hrs to and fro but Anthony (our driver) was skilful and on time, and ensure that we had enough toilet/lunch breaks during mid travel.

We really enjoyed this tour. It was an early wake up for us, but totally worth it. Elena was really bubbly and funny and took us to all the pretty lakes and waterfalls - which were absolutely breathtaking! It was a lot cooler than our base in Split, temperature-wise, I wish I had checked the weather and packed a hoodie or light jacket! Our driver, Dado, was fab and was able to chauffeur us smoothly on the scenic drive to and from the lakes despite the heavy traffic on the way back due to the France vs. Croatia match! Overall, really amazing experience. Thanks Elena for taking photos of us. This will be locked in our memories forever :)
