A very large church

This is a very large and very beautiful church. Besides, I was baptized in this church many years ago.

Visited from 27 Oct-30 Oct 2013 in the RAIN! It's a big and grandiose cathedral in which preachers go to to pray. To get there from the centre(Sumskaya St.), you'd need to go down the stairs to the fountains, then go across the bridge. Because it's very big, you CAN'T MISS IT! Inside it's quite big like that of the... More

Again best viewed at night this is a very atmospheric and attractive cathedral. For me the only problem was how spectacularly unfriendly all the staff at the cathedral were ince you got inside which made for an unpleasant visiting experience.

This is a beautiful Cathedral both inside and out. I was lucky enough to arrive during a service and the chanting, singing and incense gave me a truly spiritual experience even though I could not understand a single word. Visit - it is a sumptuous treat for your senses and soul whether you are devout or non-believer.

This cathedral looks really beautiful, and the interior beauty far exceeds the exterior. But apparently no ones allowed to enjoy it. I was immediately approached by a man sitting in a chair after entering. He made a big fuss about my hat despite the fact that all the women were wearing shawls over their heads. Then he began yelling and... More

Even full of people at prayer, it was a beautiful place. So many pieces of history on display. No I am not an Orthodox person. Still you could feel at peace and know God was close by. It was too dark for inside pictures, but it is worth the stop to see it!

Great and magnificent view to Annunciation Cathedral opens up from the place where people observe the panorama of the western part of the city, it is not far from Terraced Park. The first church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Annunciation was founded in 1655. But the one you can see nowadays has been constructed nearly 100 year ago by architect... More
